Scotland-Oban
The highlands, where my kilted dreams of Scotland are set, where legends of Bonnie Prince Charlie swirl around lonely castles. We'll ponder the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland, toss a few cabers and watch traditional dancing at highland games, discover dark secrets in the Weeping Glen.
(They started to kill the man)
Sample some fine Scotch, and endure a little piping. Crowning Britain in the northwest of Europe, Scotland welcomes visitors. From the town of Oban, we cruise to the isles of Mull and Iona. Then follow the Caledonian Canal to Glencoe, Loch Ness and onto Culloden.

Oban, the gateway to the isles is a busy little ferry terminal. A classic Scottish port town, just the place to munch fresh seafood.

You want to weave on this subtle waiter, cannot await, typically.
I'll have a couple of cockles(鸟蛤鸟蛤科双壳类软体动物), please.
Several cockles. (That's right.)
These are cooked without salt.
caberAll right.
You might want to put a little bit salt, vinegar, black pepper?

The wind, boats, gulls, layers of islands and the promise of a wide-open Atlantic beyond give Oban a shiver-and-bustle vitality. The Colosseum(圆形剧场或竞技场), overlooking Oban was the inspiration of a local tycoon in 1900, he wanted to employ workers and build himself a fine memorial. A hike to its peaceful garden is rewarded with a grand view. Oban's commercial district is little more than the street along the harbor. Eager to please its many visitors, you'll find live folk dancing nightly, and woolens and tweeds(花呢服装) perpetually on sale.

Prague
This 14th century capital of the Holy Roman Empire is one of the few cities in Eastern Eur
ope to escape the destruction of World War II. Most of Prague's glorious buildings are not reconstructions but the real things. The old castle district huddles around the imposing(富丽堂皇的) Hradcany Castle, now the seat of the president of the Republic. We were joined by Lida Marcoviousa,a tour guide friend from a previous visit.

Above the door you can see signs, I mean the violins, the key and so on.

Some of the old signs in the 18th century castle district identify the houses by the trade of the former owner.

The Baroque church Loretta was constructed by Habsburgs in the middle of 18th century.

The neighborhood grew around the castle as merchants and some princesses sought to place themselves close to the seat of power.

This is the Prague castle Hradcany. It’s a very old place in Prague.

A castle has stood on this hill since the 10th century. You can still see remnants of an early Romanesque(罗马式的) structure in its impressive gate. The castle was built over many centuries by a series of Bohemian kings. But it owes its appearance today, largely to Maria Teresa, Empress of Austria and Queen of Bohemia. During the 18th century, she expanded and altered the old castle into one , fitting her rank and power. Today, the Baroque buildings serve as home to many agencies of Hungary’s national government. Also on castle hill is St. Vitus Cathedral. Built in the 14th century, it was meant to put Prague on the Gothic map. 600 years later in 1929, the finishing touches were finally completed.
