My hometown and Guangzhou
  My hometown is a city located in Jiangxi province. Both my hometown and Guangzhou have lots of things in common. However, there’re also some distinct differences between them.
  My hometown and Guangzhou share the same identity as city, so naturally, both of them own the same features as cities. My hometown provides her civilians with convenient public transportation system, relatively comprehensive medical insurance system, relaxing shopping environment, etc…Likewise, these same features are applicable for Guangzhou. As a major city in China, there’s no doubt that people in Guangzhou can enjoy the same convenience in my hometown.
  Yet they differ from each other in weather, food and environment.
  Guangzhou, in contrast, has four indistinct seasons with relatively high temperature. It’s not that necessary for people to change their clothes frequently. As a result of its hot weath
er, the taste of traditional Guangzhou food is light and mild. Peppers can rarely be spotted, but if they do, then they must be just sweet. As for the environment, Guangzhou is far way behind my hometown. Because of the manufacturing industry and numerous vehicles, the air in Guangzhou is totally uncomparable with my hometown.
  My hometown enjoys four distinctive seasons. From the warmth and blooming in spring to the cold and withering in winter, we keep changing our outlets and finding the beauty in every season. In my hometown, people prefer dishes with spicy taste which is because the wet climate requires something traditionally “hot” to expel the wet outside the body. So peppers can be spotted in almost every famous dishes of my hometown. Actually, my hometown is famous for its environment. We have many well known mountains such as Mount Jinggang and Mount Wugong, they’re all huge natural oxygen bars. We also have a well-protected air condition which ranked 5th in China.
distinct和distinctive  To sum up, although my hometown and Guangzhou have some features in common, they do have their own distinctive characteristics in weather, food and environment.
