Purpose
This assignment requires students to explore organizational structure and culture, and examine different approaches to management and leadership and theories of organization. Students should demonstrate an understanding of working with others, teamwork, group and group dynamics.

Background
This assignment is a group project. Firstly each group tries to get a better understanding of working with others through discussion and investigation. Then the group chooses two specific organizations to conduct research on their structures, cultures, and management approaches. The organizations can be any kind in any industry. Moreover each group selects one of the two organizations to conduct further research on the relationship betwe
en organizational structure and culture, and analyze the effects of such relationship on business performance. Besides, the group evaluates the impact of technology on team functioning in one of these two organizations. On finishing the research, the group members should review their group activity, and analyse the factors that influence the teams’ success and failure.
