钝化膜检测仪使用手册INTRODUCTION介绍
With the Oxilyser3you can measure the surface quality of stainless steel alloys in a reliable and accurate way.The measuring principle is based upon rest potential measurement of the stainless steel surface in a specially developed electrolyte.Minor surface activity will be indicated directly.After several years of scientific research, supported by the European Commission,the Oxilyser was successfully introduced to the world market in1992,succeeded by the Oxilyser2in2004and the Oxilyser3in 2009.Since2018the Oxilyser3and it's technology are owned and manufactured by Marine Care.

The most important applications of the Oxilyser3are:
1.Check surface passivity before,during and after the pickling and/or passivation treatment.
2.Check of the surface passivity after contact with a corrosive substance succeeded by rinsing of the surface.During the rinsing the surface will renew its passive layer within4-24hours.
3.Check the surface passivity of storage and transport tanks after cleaning and prior to loading them with corrosive substances such as orange juice or chemicals.
钝化膜检测仪最重要的应用是:
1.检查不锈钢表面在酸洗和/或钝化处理之前、期间和之后的钝化膜。
2.检查不锈钢表面与腐蚀性物质接触清水冲洗后的钝化膜,冲洗过程中,不锈钢表面将在4-24小时内生成钝化膜。
3.检查不锈钢储运罐清洗后,装载橙汁或化学品等腐蚀性物质前的钝化膜。The Oxilyser3is not a corrosion measuring instrument.It will not react properly on weld discoloration or already visible corroded surfaces.The Oxilyser only works reliably on surfaces that are clean.The first quality control for a stainless steel surface is a visual check.
钝化膜检测仪不是一种腐蚀测量仪器,它在焊接变或明显具有腐蚀的表面无法精确检测,只能在清洁干净的不锈钢表面上才能可靠地工作。一般来说,不锈钢表面质量检查的首要手段就是目视检查。
INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION仪器描述
The Oxilyser is switched ON by choosing the proper alloy-group with a rotary switch. After switching on,the LCD display will show a slight negative value,this has no meaning.The same for the LED,which will be red after switching the instrument ON. The delivery includes a reference electrode with black cable and a red'anode clamp' with red cable.During the measuring,over a scale from0-100,a'passivity signal will be generated.The LED will automatically change from red to green after reaching an acceptable passivity signal.The acceptance level depends on the alloy group that has been selected with the rotary switch.

BATTERY电池
A battery symbol in the LCD displays indicates LOW BATTERY.For changing the battery unscrew the
Lid and loose the battery clip from the old battery,replacing it with a new 9V battery.Preferably use Alkaline batteries
液晶显示器中的电池符号表示电池不足。如果要更换电池,请打开盖子,松开旧电池上的电池夹,更换为新的9V电池。优选地使用碱性电池REFERENCE ELECTRODE参考电极
The reference electrode has been made of plastic in order to make it suitable for industrial use.A reference electrode can only give a signal if the small ceramic membrane in the tip of the probe is in contact with a electrolyte and an anode.For that reason filter papers are being used as electrolyte bearer.After wetting the paper with electrolyte,it is placed on the surface and the tip of the reference electrode must be placed on top of this.The paper must be wetted thoroughly to ensure good contact of the membrane with the surface!If the reference electrode gives no signal, it could be blocked with an air bubble against the ceramic membrane on the inside of the electrode.In that case,shake the bubble out with short strong strokes in one direction.

A long life time of the reference electrode is best guaranteed when the ceramic membrane is in contact with a potassium chloride solution.We recommend to always fill the plastic cap with a drop of potassium chloride and place it on the tip of the probe.During the measurement,the tip of the reference electrode must have been cleaned thoroughly with D.l.water and a clean tissue.
当参考电极的陶瓷膜与氯化钾溶液保持接触时,可以保证其使用寿命。我们建议在探针顶端的塑料盖中注入一滴氯化钾存放,以延长使用寿命。在但测量时,必须用去离子水水和干净的纸巾彻底将参考电极的尖端清洗干净。ELECTROLYTE STAINLESS STEEL不锈钢电解质
The electrolyte'stainless steel'is based upon an acetic acid solution.It is unharmful and not flammable or explosive.Nevertheless it is not suitable for internal use and we recommend to wash hands after contact with the fluid and to clean spilled fluid immediately.
Further,the electrolyte contains a small but well balanced quantity of salts.In order not to contaminate the electrolyte during the measurement,the tip of the reference electrode must be clean as well as the measuring surface and the filter papers.For that reason keep the lid on the filter paper box.

On the other side of this manual chart,you find a stepwise manual on how to do the measurement.Prior to measuring it must be known which alloy is going to be measured(0%Molybdenum,2%Molybdenum or6%Molybdenum/duplex stainless steel).

The Oxilyser3does not require maintenance apart from a bi-yearly calibration and keeping it clean.Please keep the Oxilyser and its case free of chemicals and dust.We recommend a calibration once every2years.Depending on the way of use,the lifetime of the battery is2-5years

TROUBLE SHOOTING问题解答
Passivity value on LCD remains around zero
-Check the contacts
-Be sure that the filter paper has been sufficiently wetted with electrolyte and that the tip of the reference electrode is in contact with the fluid.
-Check if a transparent coating was applied on the surface.
-Check if surface is clean and free of iron
-Check the reference electrode.Is there an air bubble in the tip?Shake the air bubble out with strong short strokes in one direction.
如若液晶显示屏上的钝化膜数值保持在零左右,可检查以下因素:
-检查接触面
-确保滤纸已被电解液充分湿润,并且参考电极的尖端与电解液接触。
-检查表面是否涂上了透明涂层。
-检查表面是否干净且无铁质
-检查参考电极。尖端是否有气泡?如果有,朝一个方向强力的摇晃掉气泡。
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE使用说明:
1.The first quality control of a stainless surface is a visual inspection.The Oxilyser3 measures effectively on clean surfaces.The measuring surface must be clean and dry. The Oxilyser3might not indicate property on surface defects such as clearly visible weld colorings or scaling on the surface
不锈钢表面的首先质量控制是目视检查。检测仪只有在清洁的表面上才能够有效地测量,因此测量表面必须是清洁和干燥。但检测仪可能不能检测出表面缺陷的性质,如清晰可见的焊接着或表面的结垢
2.Connect the reference electrode to the black connector and the anode or contact clamp to the red connector.Remove the transparent plastic cap from the tip of the reference electrode.Clean the tip of the reference electrode properly with D.l.water and a tissue.
将参考电极连接到黑连接器,并将阳极或触点夹连接到红连接器。从参比电极的尖端取下透明的塑料盖。用去离子水及纸巾正确清洁参考电极的尖端。3.Switch the instrument on by selecting the correct alloy group.
OMo/304means all austenitic stainless steels with<0,5%Mo.Examples are AISI304,304L,321,Wst.Nr.1.4306,1.4541and Wst.Nr.1.4301.
2Mo/316stands for all austenitic stainless steels with2-3%Mo.Examples are AlSI316,316L,316Ti,Wst.Nr.1.4571,1.4404,1.4432,1.4435.
6Mo/duplex stands for all stainless steels with4-8%Mo and duplex stainless steels Examples are254SMO,6hMo,duplex2205,duplex2507and AISI904L
打开仪器,选择正确的不锈钢材质栏。
OMo/304:表示所有钼含量<0.5%的奥氏体不锈钢。例如AISI304、304L、321、Wst.Nr.1.4306、1.4541和Wst.Nr.1.4301.
2Mo/316:代表所有钼含在2-3%范围内的奥氏体不锈钢。例如AlSI316、316L、316Ti、Wst.Nr.1.4571,1.4404,1.4432,1.4435.
6Mo/双不锈钢:代表所有钼含量在4-8%范围内不锈钢,双不锈钢有254SMO、6hMo、双2205、双2507和AISI904L
4.Wet a filter paper strip with electrolyte'stainless steel'and place the paper on the stainless steel surface as well as the reference electrode tip on the properly wetted paper.The ceramic membrane in the tip must contact the fluid properly.If necessary, add an extra drip of fluid to the tip.
用“不锈钢”电解质浸湿滤纸条,将纸放在不锈钢表面,并将参考电极尖端放在适当湿润的纸上。尖端的陶瓷膜必须正确地接触到液体。如有必要,请在其尖端多滴一滴液体。
5.In general,the LCD value will rapidly increase to a value well above50,the LED will change to green.The LED must stay green,which means that the LCD value should not drop significantly during
the measurement

6.Whether the LCD value will start to decrease again,will be clear within10 seconds.If the value decreases,it may not fall back in the'red area'again.

7.After use:fill the transparent cap of the electrode with a few drops of the potassium chloride to avoid it drying out when not in use.Store all components in the Oxilyser3case

Stable value(or value varies slightly up and down);↑=Value rises;↓=Value falls.

The LED switches from red to green at value55for0%Mo alloys,60for2%Mo alloys and65for6%Mo and duplex stainless steels.This is valid for a temperature of 18℃.At other temperatures,the switch limit red/green can differ slightly.
LED在值为55时从红切换为绿(0%钼含量合金),2%钼含量合金为60,6%Mo 和双链不锈钢为65,在温度为18℃有效。在其他温度下,开关变红/绿的数值可能略有不同。
·The best passivity has been achieved if the value is higher than respectively55,60 or65and the value remains STABLE.
如果该值分别高于55、60或65,且该值保持稳定,则达到最佳的钝化膜·Stable values up to90are possible.If a value after20seconds still is unstable and goes down,the passivity is not good.In that case normally the LED will be RED. Normally a measurement takes3-10seconds

·If a surface has been pickled,grinded or blasted recently,it will be ACTIVE.This means that the surface needs time to passivate.Dependent on the alloy quality, temperature and presence of moist(rinsing water)this takes4-24hours.

·If a surface has been contacted with a corrosive fluid during longer time,it might have been activated,which means that corrosion can start.Cleaning this surface after, e.g.unloading a storage or transport tank,will allow a renewed passivation.The
