3. Vocabulary Review (20 minutes)
- Review key vocabulary words and phrases. Give definitions and example sentences for each word, and have students provide synonyms or antonyms.
4. Reading Comprehension (15 minutes)
- Give students a short reading passage and ask them to read silently. Afterward, ask comprehension questions to test their understanding of the text. Have students take turns answering the questions.
5. Writing Practice (20 minutes)
- Have students write a short paragraph on a given topic. Provide a prompt such as "Describe your favorite hobby" or "Tell a story about a memorable experience." Remind students to use correct grammar and vocabulary.
6. Group Discussion (15 minutes)
- Divide students into small groups and give them a list of discussion questions. Each group should choose a leader to facilitate the discussion. Circulate around the groups and provide assistance when needed.
7. Review Games (20 minutes)
- Divide the class into two teams and play review games such as "Jeopardy" or "Hangman." Use the whiteboard or blackboard to keep score and write down clues or answers.
8. Wrap-up (5 minutes)
- Review the key concepts and skills covered in the lesson. Give students a handout with additional practice exercises or recommend English reference books for further study.
Note: The duration of each activity can be adjusted based on the needs and pace of the students. It is important to maintain a balance between teacher-led instruction and student participation to keep the lesson engaging and effective.
