第⼗章讲述了朱莉看望叔叔后她更加理解了⽗母的艰难处境，尤其是朱莉听到布莱斯和同学的对话，同学对朱莉的家庭和朱莉的⾏为极尽诋毁后，朱莉切⾝体会了⽗亲所经历过的事情，内⼼也开始变得愈加坚定与美好。
在去探视⼤卫的路上，朱莉说：“我不知道为什么，爸爸总是独⾃⼀⼈去看叔叔。”这次，她决定跟爸爸⼀起去。在路上，⽗⼥俩⼈⼏乎没说任何话，可不知道为什么，她觉得此时的沉默⽐⾔语更能拉近彼此之间的距离。
