Today we visited a farm. Early in the morning, we met at the school gate and went there together The farm workers gave us a warm wele. Then the head of the farm showed us around.
How glad we were to see the crops and vegetables growing well. At noon we had a picnic lunch in the sunshine. After a ten minutes break, we had great fun singing and dancing, telling jokes(笑话) or stories. Two of us even played a game of chess. The time passed quickly. Before we knew it,we had to say goodbye to the workers.

The Laba Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the eighth day of the twelfth month of the lunar Chinese calendar. "La" is the name given to the 12th lunar month and 8 is pronounced as "ba" in Chinese, which translated is "Laba." There are several legends about the origin of this festivity and we could not tell which one is true. But what we know today is that this festival started as a sacrificial offering to ancestors. It was also a time for the ancient Chinese to pray to heaven and earth that there would be a bountiful harvest. Many people hoped for good luck as well for the coming year.
Traditionally, the Laba rice porridge is the most important element of the festival. Generally, the porridge contains eight ingredients which can include glutinous rice, red beans, millet, Chinese sorghum, peas, dried lotus seeds and some other ingredients, such as dried dates, chestnut meat, walnut meat, almond, peanut, etc. The porridge must be boiled for m

My father took me to the xinhua bookstore in the morning. I went to the bookstore and ran to the second floor to read my age book. I opened an encyclopedia, and there is so much knowledge! I know that people can only see 6974 stars with the naked eye. I also know that stars can predict the weather, people often say that the stars blink, rain is not far, and sometimes it is very efficacious. If the stars blink more than 70 times a minute, it might rain!
I opened the adventure story, and the explorers in it were brave enough to venture into the yarlung zangbo grand canyon. Their brave spirit deserves our study. At noon, I was reluctant to leave the bookstore.
