5大考查重点：
1.  对上下文语义的理解：完形填空题首先考查的就是学生对上下文语义的理解，它要求学生在充分理解上下文的根底上，填入一个符合上下文语境的词，从而使文章意思完整。
例如：After the birth of my second child, I got a job at a restaurant. Having worked with an experienced waitress for a few days, I was    to wait tables on my own.

3步巧攻完形填空：
第1步：抓住首句，通读全文，把握脉络〔≤3分钟〕
通读全文以了解文章大意，以及各段落、各层次间的内在联系。做完形填空就像做拼图，只有当你了解了拼图的全貌后，你才能更快、更好地将各局部完形拼好。此外，通过句首往往可以确定文章体裁、背景、写作意图甚至中心思想。我们可以以此为跳板，快速进入状态，为理解文章奠定根底，翻开答题的缺口。
例如：Evelyn Glennie was the first lady of solo percussion in Scotland. In an interview, she recalled how she became a percussion soloist (打击乐器独奏演员) in spite of her disability.

第2步：逐句细读，瞻前顾后，谨慎选择〔≤10分钟〕
完形填空的考题可以分成三个层面：
一是句子层面。只要考虑空格所在句的意思便可得出答案，此类题目较易。
二是段落层面。需弄清前后几个句子甚至下下一两段的意思才能出答案，此类题目稍难。
三是语篇层面。需通观全文，考虑全篇文章才能出答案，此类题目较难。
但是后两个层面的理解约占80%，充分表达了“突出语篇〞的命题风格和考查要求。因此，答题时要瞻前顾后，分析选项所在上下文，充分利用各种创新解题技巧，各个击破。
一般情况下，必要几处答案难以确定，所以务必要遵循先易后难的原那么，然后在答案的根底上，利用文章情景和上下文暗示等手段仔细推敲疑点。
第3步：复读全文，校验答案〔≤2分钟〕
初选答案后，一般会有一些题没填或填了但没有把握。因此，一定要复读全文，把答案代进文章中，检验用词是否恰当，语法是否正确，文意是否通顺，逻辑是否合理。注意假设没有十分的把握，不要更改原来的答案，要相信自己的第一感觉。
