Dear Hostess:
register forThank you for your participation in this year’s Christmas Tea!  We are looking forward to it and hope you are, too!
If this is your first time hosting a table at this event, please know that the Christmas Tea is designed as an outreach event for our church and Women’s Ministry.  It is a great opportunity to introduce your friends, co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances to Christ and to our church in a fun and exciting way.  So, if you are able to fill your table with people from your community not familiar with our church or its ministries, we encourage you to do so!
There are two ways for you to reserve your table.
1. ON-LINE–This option is the most efficient way to reserve your table. You simply go to the church
website () and click on the link for the Christmas Tea.  Payment for your table must be made with a credit card if you choose the online reservation option.  As soon as your payment information is received, your selected table is reserved and no longer available to anyone else.  Your tickets will print at the end of your transaction.
2. IN PERSON– If you prefer to pay for your table with a check or cash, you will need to come to the
Women’s Ministry table in the church’s atrium, and one of our team members will assist you in with your reservation. The team members will be available to you every Sunday morning after both church services throughout the month of November to help you reserve your table(s), take your payment, and print your tickets.  Checks should be made payable to First Baptist Cumming.
Please remember that it is best to turn in your hostess packet forms [Hostess Information (p. 4), Server Information (p. 5), Childcare Needs (p. 6)] ASAP.  You may wait to turn in your G uest List (p.7) only until November 24. Remember that we need your hostess forms returned and completed regardless of how you register for the event (on-line or in person).

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a hostess for a table?
You may go online and register by purchasing the tickets (8) at the available table of your choice. The tickets are $15.00/per person.  You may also register at the Women’s Ministry Tabl e in the churc
h’s atrium during the month of November.  Payment is due at the time of reservation.  Hostess responsibilities can be found on page 3 in this packet.
I want to invite several people to the Christmas Tea, but I am not sure that I want to hostess a table.  Can I invite someone without being a hostess?
Yes, you can!  We have tables set aside each night where you may purchase a single ticket.  When you register (online or in person), please note where there are available seats at an individual table, and reserve a seat (or two or three) that is available.  However, if you plan to bring 4 or more guests, it is expected that you will serve as the hostess of a table (see page 3 for a hostess’s responsibilities).
Am I responsible for finding my own servers if I am a hostess at the Christmas Tea?
Yes, we ask that you provide two men as servers for every table you hostess to work at the tea.  We will provide a pizza dinner for the servers, and no experience is necessary!  It is a great service opportunity for high school age boys as well.
Is it necessary to provide a gift for each person seated at my table?
No.  Some hostesses choose to give small gifts to those seated at their table, but it is not required.  The Women’s Ministry provides each woman who attends the Christmas Tea with a small gift.
I ordered tickets to bring some friends to the tea, but at the last minute, some of them can’t come.  Can I get a refund for their tickets?
You may receive a refund through Sunday, November 24, but we are unable to refund any money beyond that date. Of course, you can always invite someone else to take their place!
When is my Guest List due?
Your Guest List is due by Sunday, November 24.  You may turn it in at the Women’s Ministry Table located in the church’s atrium.Please let us know by this date if you have any open spaces at your table.  Occasionally, we have a waiting list and would love to provide an open seat to someone who desires to come but wasn’t able to register on time.
Hostess Responsibilities
Table Decorating Guidelines:
Hostess To Provide:plates, cups/saucers, water goblets, silverware, tablecloth or table topper, cloth napkins, centerpiece, candles (minimum of 3), sugar bowl, cream pitcher, bread basket, Ziploc bag (to carry home your silverware at the end of the evening), salt and pepper shakers
Church Will Provide:  coffee, clear plastic plates for entrée/dessert, gifts for attendees
Helpful Hints:
Table Size:Round table that seats 8.  60” in diameter.
Centerpiece:When selecting a centerpiece, please be mindful that the space on your table is limited.
Candles:  For candlelight purposes, please have at least three (3) candles on each table.  All candles must be dripless or placed on something to keep the wax from melting on the tablecloths.
Dinner Plates:  When decorating/setting your table, please keep your dinner plate clear for easy dinner service.
Childcare:Childcare is available for hostesses and volunteers (including servers) only. Please be sure to fill out the Childcare Reservation form (p. 6).
YOUR TABLE NEEDS TO BE DECORATED BY 5:30 P.M. ON THE NIGHT OF THE TEA.  Monday hostesses may decorate their tables Sunday afternoon after or during the day on Monday.  The church will be open at   If you are a Tuesday hostess, you may decorate your table anytime after on Tuesday.  All hostesses:  please be at your table on the night of the event by to greet your guests as they arrive.
