英语名词的复数形式
一、绝大多数的可数名词的复数形式，是在该词末尾加上s
，结尾是清辅音读[s]，结尾是浊辅音或元音读[z]
      book-books cat-cat s-bag-bags boy-boys room-rooms    game-games price-prices case-cases horse-horses rose-roses  orange-oranges  bridge-bridges
二、凡是以s、x、ch、sh结尾的词，在该词末尾加上es构成复数,读[iz]
lash-lashes branch-branches match-matches coach-coaches gas-gases  ass-asses　class-classes　box-boxes fox-foxes
三、以y结尾的名词变复数时
a:辅音字母+y结尾的名词，将y改变为i，再加es
baby-babies family-families pony-ponies city-cities country-countries
b:元音字母+y结尾的名词，名词后加一个s
    valley-valleys　donkey-donkeys toy-toys boy-boys  radio复数guy-guys
五、以f或fe 结尾的名词变复数时
a.去f,fe 加ves
thief-thieves shelf-shelves leaf-leaves calf-calves  half-halves　wolf-wolves　wife-wives　life-lives
b:加s
belief-beliefs roof—roofs safe-safes　gulf-gulfs
六、以-o结尾的名词，变复数时
a.加s
photo-photos Piano-pianos radio—radios bamboo-bamboos zoo-zoos　kangaroo-kangaro
os
b.加es
Hero-heroes mango-mangoes potato-potatoes tomato-tomatoes
七、极少数单词，其复数形式没有任何规律
man→men woman→women child→children  ox→oxen 
foot→feet  mouse→mice tooth→teeth
八、有些名词是单数、复数不分的
fish→fish sheep→sheep deer→deer Chinese→Chinese
九、集体名词，以单数形式出现，但实为复数
people　police　cattle
十、其复数形式有时可表示特别意思
goods  waters  fishes
