摘要：PURPOSE: To efficiently remove protein from a protein-contg. fluid by bringing a composite gel adsorbent consisting of natural clay and synthetic silica gel and the fluid contg. the protein into contact with each other and adsorbing the protein onto the composite gel adsorbent. CONSTITUTION: The composite gel adsorbent consisting of the natural clay, such as montmorillonite, bentonite and the synthetic silica gel and the fluid contg. the protein are brought into contact with each other to adsorb the protein on the composite gel adsorbent. The composite gel adsorbent is separated from the fluid decreased in the protein content. The composite gel adsorbent described above is adequately a comp
osite gel adsorbent having pores of a diameter larger than 60 angstrom. The fluid contg. the protein is adequately treated by continuously passing the same through a fixed bed packed with the composite gel adsorbent.
