摘要：PURPOSE:To manufacture the honeycomb beam at low cost with good workability, by zigzag punching and dividing into sections the web of the steel shape so as to form wave type projection, and then, by overlapping and tightly fixing above stated projections. CONSTITUTION:The web 1 of the steel shape 3 is zigzag punched and divided by the punching press; hereby, the sectioned steel shape 5 with a pair of wave type projections is formed so as to be provided with many wave type projections 4 running parallelly to the longitudinal direction of the web 1. Next, the top portions of each wave type projection 4 in this pair of sectioned steel shape 5 are overlapped, and the overlapped portion is spot welded 24 or is fixed by bolts, rivets, etc. According to this method, the generation of thermal strain, usual in the conventional welding or cutting work , can be prevented, and the process is simple, so that the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
