数量与比较句型
1）表示“倍数”的句型
（1）“倍数+as +形容词、副词原级+as” ......是......的几倍
（2）“倍数/百分数+比较级+than” 比.......多（大、宽、高）几倍
（3）“倍数+the size/weight/height/width/length/age+of”.....是....大小的几倍
（4）“形容词/副词比较级++by +倍数” ....是....的几倍
（5）“倍数+从句” .....是....的几倍
例句:The garden is three times as big as ours.
This dictionary is exactly three times as expensive as that one.
The earth is forty-nine times larger than the moon.地球比月球大49倍
I am almost three times the age of yours.我的年龄几乎是你的三倍
This squire is larger than that one by three times.这座广场是那座三倍大
The number of the traffic accidents this year is twice what it was last year.
今年交通事故的数量是去年的两倍。
2）as +形容词/副词原级+单数可数名词+as 和......一样.....
-----He is as clever a boy as you want to see.他就是你想见的那个聪明的男孩
-----I have never met with as difficult a problem as this.
我从未遇到过和这个一样难的题目
3）The +比较级，the +比较级 越......,就越.....
第一个比较级后是状语从句，第二个比较级后是主句部分。
-----The more books I read ,the more information I learn.
.我读的书越多，获得的信息就越多
-----The more you hurry,the less progress you are likely to make.欲速则不达
4）比较级+and+比较级/more and more ....越来越......
(1)两个形容词或两个副词的比较用and连接，如higher and higher 越来越高
(2)多音节形容词或副词要加more 来表示，如more and more beautiful

More and more high buildings(越来越多的高楼）

五）more than+数词/名词/形容词/从句
（1）more than +数词 超过.....不止......
（2）More than +名词 不止是.......不仅仅是......
（3）More than +形容词/副词 很，非常，尤其
（4）More than +从句 常指超出某人的能力、知识、力量范围，多表否定意义
从句谓语动词常为can 、could等
------So I wont’t give you more than a shilling.所以我最多给你一个先令。
------He is more than my teacher , He is my close friend.
他不仅是我的老师，还是我亲密的朋友
------They were more than glad to help. 他们非常乐意帮忙
------When my old friend Brian urged me to accept a cigarette, it was more than I could bear. weight可不可数当我的老朋友布莱恩怂恿我抽一支烟时，我再也熬不住了
6）比较级+than +any other +名词单数 比其他任何.....都.....
该句型是用比较级形式表达最高级含义。
------My father is busier than any other worker in his workshop.
我爸爸比车间里任何工人都要忙
------Autumn is better for reading than any other season.秋天比任何季节都适合读书
7）...最高级+名词（+that）+sb. have /has ever +过去分词
该句型包含一个that引导的定语从句，that可省略。从句谓语动词用完成式。
-----Helen is the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen.
海伦是我见过的最美的女孩
-----This is the most interesting story (that ) I have ever heard.
这是我听过的最有趣的故事
8）the same +名词 as /that 与....一样....
The same 名词 as 表示相似，同类事物
The same 名词 that 表示同一事物
-----This is the same train that I rode on yesterday.这就是我昨天坐过的那辆车
-----This is the same train as I rode on yesterday这辆火车和我昨天坐过的那辆一样
9）prefer用法概述
（1）prefer A to B 比起A更喜欢B
（2）Prefer to do sth. 更喜欢做......(多指具体的动作或特定的行为)
（3）Prefer doing sth. 宁愿做....
（4）Prefer doing A to doing B 喜欢A胜过B
（5）Prefer to do A rather than do B 宁愿做A，也不愿做B
（6）Prefer that ....宁愿.....（从句谓语使用should +v）
-----I prefer quality to quantity. 我们要的是质量而不是数量。
-----I’d prefer to stay at home when it raining.当下雨时我更喜欢呆在家里
-----I prefer doing things that are not hopeless. 我宁愿做有希望的事情
-----I prefer swimming to skating. 我喜欢游泳胜过滑冰
-----I prefer to watch TV rather than go out. 我宁愿呆在家里看电视也不出去
-----She preferred that she (should) do it alone. 她宁愿独自一人做这件事
（7）would rather do than do .... 宁愿....而不.....
Than后边接v. 但如果该句型前后连接的两个v.相同，than之后那个v.可省。
Would rather 后跟从句，表示主语宁愿让某人干某事。这时，从句谓语动词用虚拟语气，即用一般过去时表示将来或现在要做的事；
用过去完成时表示已经做过的事或过去要做的事。
-----I would rather sleep than watch this movie.=I prefer sleeping to watching this movie.=I prefer to sleep rather than watch this movie.
我情愿睡觉也不看这部电影
-----I would rather fail than cheat in the examination.
我宁愿考试不及格，也不愿考场作弊
-----I would rather you posted the letter right away.
