1、表述事物之间的倍数关系,常用句型有“倍数+as+原级+as”,“倍数+比较级+than”。
2、表示一倍用once,两倍用twice, 三倍(以)上用“基数词+times”。若要表述“比……倍还要多”可在倍数前加over, more than.。

3、weigh 表示“称……的重量”,是及物动词;表示“重(多少)”,是不及物动词。如:He weighe d the fish. 他称了这条鱼。

例句: She gave birth to a fine healthy baby. 她生了一个健康漂亮的婴儿。
5. up to 的常见用法
(1)表示程度或数量,表示"达到……程度或数量", 相当于as fa r as
如:Up to ten people can sleep in this tent.这个帐篷至多能睡十人。
(2)“up to ”意为“不多于,不迟于”。例如:Read up to page 109. (读到第100 页。)(3)“up to ”后面接表示刻度、标准的词语时,意为“达到某种要求或水平”。如:Is their spoken English up to the company's standard?(他们的英语口语达到公司的水平了吗?)
