Would you like to refresh yourself? Tim: They just brought in refreshments. Please help yourself. Mr.Zhang: Thank you. Tim: Would you like to refresh yourself? 以为提姆再次请他去享用refreshments(茶点)的张先生说: Mr.Zhang: Thank you, but before that I would like to go to the rest room. Tim: Of course. This way. 【Note】 “Would you like to refresh yourself?”、“Would you like to wash your hands?”与“Would you like to go to the rest room?” (2):She Is Expecting She is expecting. Jenny: Barb is doing so well. You know she is expecting in May. Ms.Wang: What is she expecting? Jenny: She told me that she decided not to have it tested. Only God knows. 办公室英语口语谬误(1):I Think I think. Mr.Lin: Jim, your idea really helped us a lot! Jim: Thank you. This program is working really well. Mr.LinL: Yes. You are a great programmer, I think. 如果说“I think you are a great programmer.”,那吉姆就不会垂头丧气了!这时省略“I think”,而直接说“You are a great programmer!”,反而更能正确表达。 Sun……。 B: Mr. Sun, I'd like you to meet Mr. Johnathan Mitchell, sales manager for Nortern Reflections of Canada. Very impressive indeed. Our boss got acquainted with a couple of real estate agents in the golf Club. 2. on top of things The new manager was always worried he wasn’t on top of things. 3. (a) force to be reckoned with 值得注意的人物 “(a) force”,“力量”,可以指一个团体、事物或个人;“reckon”在此的意思为“认定”。“a force to be reckoned with”是形容“有成功的条件而值得注意的人物、团体”。 例:The new company will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. 4. Don't I know it. You say the discount rate is too low? Don't I know it! Bob told us in a nutshell what happened in the managers' meeting. The leisure and entertainment industry is a growth sector in Taiwan. Congratulation Letter 1. Dear Mr. / Ms, On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of your National Day, please accept our heartiest congratulations.
