Unit1 B Let’s learn教案
一、教学目标
1. 能掌握四会单词bigger heavier longer thinner smaller,并进行替换练习;
2. 能够运用上述五个单词描述人物外貌特点,了解有的形容词原级变为比较级要双写词尾字母,再加er或变y为i,再加er;
3. 运用形容词比较级完成体检的活动。
二、学情分析
六年级的学生已经有了一定的英语语言基础,在课堂中能积极主动参与到活动中来,对于第一单元的形容词比较级在A部分的基础上,学生也进行了初步的了解,而本课是介绍特殊的形容词变化,学生在仔细观察后能到规律,并能运用,同时活动的设计也是符合小学高年级学生心理特点的,利用了小组合作、问答接龙、创编对话等活动将教学内容趣味化,同时也给学生搭建了展示自我的平台,真正做到了以生为本。
三、重点难点
1. 重点是四会单词的读和写,并灵活运用;
2. 难点是如何让学生用所给的句型替换关键词,在实际情景中灵活运用。
四、教学过程
活动1【导入】情景引入
1. Free talk: Boys and girls. How are you today? Who’s on duty today? What’s the weather like today?
T: How old are you? S1: I’m 12 years old.
T: Who is older than you? S1: _________ is older than me.
T: __________. How old are you? S2: I’m 13 years old. _______ is younger than me.
T: How tall are you? S3: I’m 1.62metres.
T: Who is taller than _______?
S4: I’m taller than _______. He is shorter than me.
(设计意图:在Free talk中复习旧单词longer, shorter, taller, younger, older。)
2. Game: Let’s play a game. “Who is taller than me?” T: Look at us. You are A. I’m B.
Who can try?
3. T: Look at my cards. Who can read?

活动2【讲授】新知呈现
1. T: You are great! Look, this is an electronic scale. How heavy are you? Who can try? (板书How heavy are you?)
(一名学生到前面来测量体重)
介绍句子:I’m 61 kilograms. 然后板书,重点讲解kilograms,简写kg。重点注重读音。
2. Game 2: 测体重Let’s measure our body weight. Who can come here?
Ss: How heavy are you?
S: I’m … kilograms.
T: How heavy is she/he?
S: She / He is … kilograms.
(测量后进行填表,并引出下列句子。)
T: Who is heaver, _______ or _________?
介绍单词“he avy-----heavier” ( Pay attention to the handwriting of the word. “y” becomes “i”, add “er”, understand?)
T: How heavy are you?
S: I’m … kg.
T: I’m heavier than you. / You’re heavier than me.
(设计意图:先突破难点,将单词kilograms及heavier读熟,同时对句型How heavy are you? 进行操练。)
3. T: Look at these new words, who can try to read?
出示四会单词:bigger heavier stronger thinner smaller;
(T: You are clever.)
(设计意图:根据学生发言情况,确立单词的难易程度,适当调整练习时间,操练情况如下)
4. T: Look at the apples.
(1) bigger和smaller
出示大小两个苹果的图片,让学生进行比较。
The red apple is s mall. It’s smaller than the green apple.
The green apple is big.
It’s ________ than the red apple. (提示bigger的变化)
Game3 比大小
T: Let’s practice in pairs.
weight读音同桌两人一组,比一比书包中学习用品的大小或者是身体部位的大小。如:
教师示范: Reach out your hands. My hands are bigger than your hands. My eraser is smaller than your eraser. (bag, pencil-box. notebook, eyes, ears, hands, feet …)
(2) stronger和thinner
出示姚明和妻子叶莉的照片,并进行描述:
T: Who are they? They are Yao Ming and his wife Ye Li. Ye Li is thin. Yao Ming is strong. Yao Ming is ____ than Ye Li. Ye Li is _____ than Yao Ming. (提示thinner的变化)
(利用声音大小来练读这两个单词)
拓展单词: fatter, Let’ read loudly. Let’s read quietly.

1. T: Open your English books, turn to P7. Try to read and answer the questions: How heavy is Jim?
Who is heavier, Jim or John?
2. T: Read after the computer.

活动方式:先将事先印好的简易体检表发给学生,学生测量后填写好各自的体检表。
(第一组)两个人
S1: (扮演医生) What’s your name?
S2: My name is ________.
S1: How old are you?
S2: I’m 12 years old.
S1: How tall are you?
S2: I’m ________ metres.
S1: How heavy are you?
S2: I’m _______ kilograms.
(第二组)两个人
S1: Hello ________.
S2: Hi _________.
S1: I’m 12 years old. You are eleven. I’m older than you.
S2: You’re 1.61 metres. I’m shorter than you.
S1: How heavy are you?
S2: I’m 42 kilograms. How about you?
S1: I’m 46 kilograms. I’m heavier than you.
