1、宣布上课
Good morning/afternoon, class.
Sit down, please.
Boys and girls, I’m very happy to come here. Today I’m your new English teacher. Do you know my name? Do you want to know something about me? Ask me. (If no questions, present numbers indrectly.)
2、提问:How many students are there in our class? Count at first, then write down the numbers on the blackboard so that the teacher can use it later when teaching ordinal numbers.
3、Play a game ---- 扮演魔术师。准备好两副扑克。一幅按顺序叠好,放在裤子口袋里,另一幅拿出来给学生看。当着学生的面把这幅牌洗散,然后,将它放回到裤子口袋。念念有词,撒上魔法金粉,然后,把叠好顺序的牌拿出来。拿一张说出这张牌的号码。如:The first one is a King. The second one is a Queen. The third one is a Jack. The fourth one is a 10. …etc. 通过这种办法,呈现序数词。在此过程中,注意:用彩粉笔在原来基数词的后面加上序数词的符号st, nd, rd, th, etc (学生估计会看出破绽,如果如此,照样完成。同时,特别注意fifth, fifteenth,twenty-first, twenty-second, etc 的读音。).
4、带领全班同学朗读这些基数词,并尝试让学生自己说明基数词的构成规律。
Boys and girls, I’m very happy to come here. Today I’m your new English teacher. Do you know my name? Do you want to know something about me? Ask me. (If no questions, present numbers indrectly.)

听力活动
让学生听三到四段听力材料,判断具体日期。其中最后一段的听力材料是与学生自己的生日有关。特别注意:这一过程中要特别注意birthday, party等单词的引入,为第二节课做好准备。
