CHENGDU STAR FOREIGN LANGUAGE SCHOOL
1. Chengdu Star Foreign Language School is a full-time boarding school established in Feburary, 1993 with the approval of city and district education commission. It’s located in the western rural of Chengdu covering a area of 40,000kilometers and with a construction area of 15,000kilometers.It consists the section of middle school, primary school and arts department. It is well equiped with teaching and living facilities and strong teaching force. The school strictly put the national teaching syllabus and curriculum plans into practice and in the direction of socialism and carry out quality education in fullround to cultivate qualified and specialty talents. English is set to be its basic subject and many foreign experts are hired to teaching foreign languages. Meanwile, the school also set up subjects like computerclass, elective instruments courses and other colorful activity class. 6. The school not only attaches importance to the training of basic knowledge and skills, but also arranges colorful activities. It cooperates with Sichuan Music College to take in studets majoring in music; it sets computer lessons and applies computer aided teaching system; it establishes union choir and school dancing group; it also set up almost 20 interest groups about piano, painting, writing, science recreation, weather, football, young reporter, English, broadcast and so on.
