摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain a valid data from a first bit at the time of serial output by performing transfer of data to a memory array after an amount of shift of a data register is counted and then the first bit of serial input data arrives at a final stage of the data register. CONSTITUTION:A data which is retained by a data register 3 is transferred to a memory cell array 1 by controlling a memory cell array 1 and a data transfer gate 2 and then a serial data SDI is input. Also, data is transferred from the memory cell array 1 to the data register 3 before a serial output control signal RC reaches an active level and the output control signal RC is set to an active level, thus obtaining a serial data SDO from the data register 3 by a clock signal CLK. Namely, even if the number of bits per unit of the serial data SDI is smaller than the number of stages of the data register 3, the first bit is shifted to the final stage of the data register 3 on input and then is transferred to the memory cell array 1, thus obtaining a valid data from the first bit on output.
