Step One: Review
T: What do you usually do after school?
Show four pictures to students: do homework  watch TV  play computer games  play mobile phones
S: Yes or No.
Step Two: Warm up
T: What do I usually do after work?
Show two pictures to students: watch TV  play mobile phones  and say NO.
Show another picture to students: do housework  and say YES.
T: What chores do I have to do?
Show six pictures to students: fold the clothes  make the bed  sweep the floor  do the dishes  clean the living room  take out the rubbish
Step Three: Learn the new words and phrases.
1. Teacher read, students repeat.
2. Students read together.
3. Students practice reading in groups.
4. Students read one by one from one group to another.
(The teacher writes new words and phrases on the blackboard.)
Step Four: Practice
T: How often do you usually do these chores?
Show students a table, includes new phrases and adverbs of frequency 
Step Five: Lead in
T: I do these chores everyday. I’m very tired. I need to rest. Who can help me?
T to SA: Could you please take out the rubbish?    SA: Sure.
T to SB: Could you please sweep the floor?        SB: Sure.

Step Six: Listen and check (1b)
1. Play the listening tapescripts twice.
2. Ask students to check the answers.
Step Seven: play guessing game 
Learn new sentence patterns by doing the game.
Step Eight: Practice
Students make new conversations with their partners.
Step Nine: Lead in
T: Sorry, my pen doesn’t work.
T to SA: Could I use your pen?          SA: Sure. Here you are.
T to SB: Could I borrow your paper?      SB: Sure. Here you are.

Step Ten: Listen and check (2b.2c)
1. Play the listening tapescripts for the first time..
