    The Emperor's New Clothes
    Once upon a time there was an emperor who loved fine clothes. He spent so much time and money on clothing that he didn't have time for anything else.
    One day two strange men came to town claiming to be weavers. They said they could make the finest cloth ever seen. When asked what the fabric looked like, they said You won't be able to see it unless you're a very wise man.
    The emperor thought this was a great find. He wanted to be the only person in the world with such a fabric. So he decided to hire the two weavers to make him a new set of clothes.
    The two weavers took the emperor's money and made a show of setting up their looms and getting to work. Everyone in the court watched as the two pretended to weave the emperor's new clothes.
    But, in reality, there was nothing there. They had tricked the emperor into thinking he was getting something special when in fact they were not doing any work at all.
    One day the emperor decided to go and see his new clothes. When he arrived, the two weavers bowed and said Your Majesty, here are your new clothes. The emperor looked, but he could not see anything. He stood there for a moment, not knowing what to do.
    Finally, one of the courtiers spoke up and said Your Majesty, the clothes look wonderful.
    The emperor nodded in agreement, even though he could not see the fabric. He smiled at the court and said Yes, they are magnificent.
    The emperor then paraded around the town in his new clothes. Everyone in the town, not wanting to appear foolish, said how glorious the emperor's clothes looked.
    But then a small child in the crowd shouted out But he doesn't have any clothes on! Everyone began to laugh and point. They all knew that the emperor had been tricked by the two weavers.
    The emperor was embarrassed, but soon realized that it was better to be honest than to be fooled. He was even more popular after that day, as the people realized he was just like them.。
