摘要：856,228. Endless tracks for vehicles. LEEFORD (LONDON) Ltd. March 13, 1959 [March 17, 1958], No. 8433/58. Class 79(1). A self-laying track for a vehicle wheel Fig. 1, having links 2 of channel section carrying rack means 13 engaged by driving teeth 10 on the wheel 1, is maintained in engagement with the wheel 1 by chains 17 cooperating with groups of three sprockets 19 arranged on alternate pivotal connections 16 of the links 2. Each pivot 16 Fig. 4 carries a sprocket 19 and a pulley 20 on opposite sides of the central flange 7 of the links 2, the pulleys 20 acting to tension the chains 17, by deflection, when passing over the top of the driving wheel 1. The sprockets 19 are rotatably mounted on bearing sleeves 22 and include resilient rings 26 engaged over conical surfaces of a hub 24. The teeth 10 of the driving wheel 1 may be formed in pairs on detachable plates 12 mounted on opposite sides to engage rollers 13 on the pivots 16 and enclose wear rails 9 on the central flanges 7.
