We will talk about “AA system” in western countries for this lesson. It is known that this habit originated from Holland. And it is known as “Go Dutch”or “Dutch Treatment”in these countries. There is also a saying in English “Let’s go Dutch!”During the earlier periods in western countries, the main business was traded on the seas. As we all know it was of great fluidity and danger to go no trade on the seas and it would be of great difficulty to gather again. atment”while having dinner with the others. Courtesy demanding reciprocity has influenced them for thousands of years for agriculture has been the main industry and people have been living in a settled place harmoniously and peacefully. For this, if they invite you to have a dinner, they will never ask you to pay the bill or split it. They think this will let them feel awkward or even shamed. However, AA system has now been more and more popular in China. It is adapted to the gathering among friends and classmates, especially the students and the people who have been in for a job only for a few years.
