一、 教材分析
本课是外研社新标准小学英语（三年级起点）五年级上册第七模块第一 单元He can't see。主要教学内容是谈论能力的不足。课文情境是Sam, Amy 和Lingling一起看电视，电视里正在播放介绍狗帮助人的节目。主持人介绍 了狗帮助盲人、聋人以及帮助消防队员救人的事例。看完节目后，Sam问 Ms Smart家里可不可以养狗，Ms Smart遗憾地的说不可以，但她给大家端来 了晚餐一一热狗。Lingling听到这个名字下了一跳，Sam告诉她热狗只是香肠 和面包。
二、学情分析
学生在四年级已经学过了 “can”表示能力的用法，并且在Module6也 对“can”的用法进行了巩固复习。所以这节课的知识对学生们来说不难掌 握。本课的学习重点是用“can】”说明能力的不足。
三、教学目标
1.语言知识1）全体学生能运用He can't see. The little girl can't walk.”来谈论能力 的不足。
2）全体学生能理解词汇：a lot, useful, show, presenter, blind, deaf, hear, her, fire, firefighter, hot dog, sausage。
3）全体学生能运用词汇：hear, her；部分学生能运用词汇：a lot, useful, show, presenter, blind, deaf, fire, firefighter, hot dog, sausage。
2.语言技能1）全体学生能听懂He can,t see。
2）全体学生能说He can't see。
3)全体学生能认读He can't see。
4)全体学生能按要求完成语句书写。
3.情感态度乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语，通过学习本课了解动物的可爱之处。

5.文化意识进一步了解英语国家中典型的食物。
四、教学重难点
1.教学重点：全体学生能运用“can，t”谈论能力的不足。
