Bid Manager Take Off User Guide
The modern design was created with a wide range of user inputs and makes configuration easier – especially for new users. This design will allow future takeoffs to easily display on Eaton, Channel Sites, Order Center, CPQ, and other interfaces. The common look and code base for this design makes updates faster and easier as well as mobile ready. Note that the Bid Manager “shell” (Jobs/Pricing) has limited functions on Mobile JOE/ mobile My.Eaton at the present time. However, takeoffs with this design are fully mobile compatible and ready.
Please Note: the new takeoff design will not work with the browser Internet Explorer 11. Please use Chrome to avoid errors.
1. Bid Manager takeoffs are being redesigned for ease of use. Start with the Basic Characteristics option, anddrop table if exists user
work the choices from top to bottom to configure your product.
2. If you have Service / Accessories choose that from the Systems Options Drop down and work your way
down.
If you have Special Modifications choose that from the Systems Options drop down.  Add Special
Modifications will then open the below window.
After your basic configuration, if you need something
that’s not in the list, such as adding a maintenance
bypass or a service quote for additionally,
separately priced services you will add that here.
3. Next choose the Freight Calculator option from the System Options drop down menu.  Choose your
Destination State from the drop-down list.
Additional New Features
Pricing appears at the top of the configuration.  A pop up with more information, including catalog number is available by clicking the numbered list icon.
When you click the Bell icon or when you save your
configuration, the system will check for Validation
Errors and Alerts and will display the Technical Data
Sheet for that product.
The Overflow menu icon (three dots) has useful but less frequently
used functions that may vary based on your role.
On the top left, you can also Make a Copy and Save your
button allows you to save multiple line items to your bill of
material with different designations. It is similar to the former
Save As button.
