Gewindefurchende Schrauben für metrisches ISO-Gewinde –Teil 1:
Formen, Bezeichnung, Anforderungen In keeping with current practice in standards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a comma has been used throughout as the decimal marker.
Foreword
This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee K einschrauben  of the Normenausschuss Mechanische Verbindungselemente  (Fasteners Standards Committee).
Since most of the specifications of the previous edition of DIN 7500-1 are now contained in DIN EN ISO 7085,the present standard now only features the remaining specifications from the August 1995 edition.Amendments
This standard differs from the August 1995 edition as follows:
a)The standard has been editorially revised and references to other standards have been updated.b)Spe
cifications for materials and mechanical and metallurgical requirements are no longer included.c)Clauses 6 and 7 dealing with acceptance inspection and marking have been included.
Previous editions
DIN 7500: 1978-10; DIN 7500-1: 1984-12, 1995-08.
All dimensions are in millimetres.
1Scope
This standard specifies dimensions, the designation and requirements for design and dimensional accuracy of ISO metric thread rolling screws. For further dimensions, tolerances, materials, mechanical and performance requirements, testing and acceptance inspection of thread rolling screws, reference is made to the relevant standards.
See DIN 7500-2 for hole diameters.

4Requirements
4.1General requirements
Thread rolling screws shall meet the general requirements specified in ISO8992.
4.2Design and dimensional accuracy
The design and dimensional accuracy of thread rolling screws shall comply with DIN EN ISO4759-1, product grade A, unless otherwise specified in the relevant dimensional standards. As a departure from DIN EN ISO4759-1, the nominal length of thread rolling screws shall be subject to tolerance js16.
If thread rolling screws are to have an unthreaded portion of shank, the thread length shall be included in the designation.
EXAMPLE:Designation of a size M6 thread rolling screw (type AE), made of steel (St),with a nominal length,l, of 50mm and a thread length of 28mm:
Screw DIN7500–AE M6é50é28–St
4.3Material
Thread rolling screws shall be made of case hardening steel as specified in DIN EN ISO7085.
