Editor’s note: Teens doesn’t promote the wolf father’s strict educational style. Going to Peking or Tsinghua University is not the only road to success.
YES
Tan Xiaoyan, 15:
My dream is to go to Tsinghua University. There are top educational resources (资源), world famous teachers and outstanding students in this university. If we spend years studying there, we surely will get a good job and live a better life in the future. However, there must be a lot of challenges and difficulties on the way. So I will accept (接受) the wolf father’s strict educational style if it can really make my dream come true.
Liu Boyu, 15:
I would accept a wolf father because I really need a strict person to help me control (控制) myself. Now I am interested in playing computer games all day. And I don’t want to study. A wolf father can help me focus on my studies. I believe under his strict control I can study better and go to one of the key universities.
NO
Shi Yunting, 16:
I will not accept a wolf father. I don’t think I can get used to his educational style. It would make me too tired to enjoy the golden moments of my childhood. Besides, entering Peking or Tsinghua University doesn’t mean that I will certainly have a bright future. I think studies should be a pleasant thing. We should study in the way that we like.
Liu Jiahui, 16:
I don’t believe life is only made for studying. There are many meaningful things to do in life. Studying is one of them. So I will say no to the wolf father’s educational style. Even if I don’t enter a university as good as Peking or Tsinghua University, I would still be very happy because I would be going to a university as a person, not a learning machine.

Since Irish writer Bram Stoker introduced the first vampire, Dracula, in 1897, the blood-drinking vampires in literature (文学) are seen as mysterious, dark and powerful.
According to American professor Jolene Zigarovich, there are many reasons for the vampire craze (狂热). “There is forbidden (禁忌的) love, as in Shakespeare,” she explained. “Magic and the promise of everlasting love from vampires make this more… magical.”
editor怎么读英语发音The idea of immortal (永恒的) life may be the most attractive part to teenagers.
As 15-year-old Australian girl, Elena Burger, wrote in a piece for the Sydney Morning Herald: “By hanging out with vampires, Bella gets to stay a ‘child’ forever. She doesn’t need to worry about the adult things that we teenagers know we’ll have to worry about: she doesn’t need a university degree, a car or a mortgage (抵押贷款).” Vampire stories let us all escape reality for a moment.

Timo arrived at Carter’s house.
“Tom, a friend of mine, came over. I showed him my stamp collection. But he hit me and I went unconscious (昏迷). When I woke up, the Black Penny was gone,” Carter told Timo.
Timo checked the place carefully. There were many stamps in the cabinet but only Black Penny was stolen. The glass of the cabinet was not broken. The marks on the cabinet could be seen clearly. “It must have taken the criminal (罪犯) a lot of time to open the cabinet,” Timo thought. “Did you buy insurance (保险) for Black Penny?” Timo asked Carter.
“Of course! It is valuable and I bought a $300,000 insurance policy for it,” Carter said.
“I don’t think anyone stole Black Penny. You are lying. You only want to get the insurance money. Am I right?”
Why did Timo think so?
Answer: a criminal would have broken the glass cabinet and stolen all of the stamps. But h
e didn’t break the cabinet and stole only one stamp. He must have been afraid of destroying the other stamps. Only the owner of the stamps would do this!

eth. And I began to enjoy it. I got to see things like birds flying and trees changing color. A few times I saw something very special, like a small snake near the sidewalk, or two cars that came very close to crashing (相撞)!
Many of my classmates also noticed what I did. Once, a girl in my class asked her mother to drive me home because it was raining outside and I didn’t have an umbrella. Some people who I didn’t know even offered me a ride because they thought it was too cold out.
People always think walking long distances is difficult. Modern technology (技术) makes common things, like walking, seem difficult. Many people, like myself, live in the suburbs (郊区) and are close to nature, but also far away from it because of technology.
