The Jumble Sale
教学参考的目的在于为实验课提供一个基本的思路和框架,帮助实验教师更好地把握课题理念。课题组鼓励实验教师结合学生的实际情况适当做出调整,将实验课上出特。
一、教学目标
1. 语言能力目标:学生能够读懂故事情节;惟妙惟肖地模仿录音;绘声绘地独立朗读故事;能根据关键词描述图片并复述故事;掌握字母组合“ou”的拼读规律;能仿写故事。
2. 非语言能力目标:通过让学生观察人物表情和预测故事情节培养学生的观察力和想象力;让学生体会故事中孩子们对旧玩具的不舍;在游戏中感受jumble sale的氛围。
二、课时安排
要求每周不少于两课时,每课时至少完成一个故事。
三、教师要求
1. 教师课前须熟读故事,了解本课故事相关文化背景:
(1)spring-cleaning(春季大扫除)
每年三四月份,英国人会把家从里到外清扫一遍,以迎接春天的到来。
(2)jumble sale(旧物甩卖)
英国的一些当地机构会组织人们捐赠物品并进行拍卖,也就是旧物甩卖。所捐物品无需贵重,拍卖后所得的钱款主要用于慈善活动。在英国,这样的拍卖活动一般需付费入场,入场费约二十便士到一镑不等。
2. 对于较难的单词,教师可板书,并配合动作和表情帮助学生理解。
3. 全英文授课。
四、教学用具
多媒体设备、CD机、课件(课题组提供)、故事图片(第1、3、5、7、9幅图)、单词卡(见环节5)、旧玩具或其他物品(提前让学生自带)。
五、课堂教学基本步骤
1. 导入(Lead-in):了解 jumble sale,引入故事情景
通过观看视频,帮助学生了解jumble sale,为看图讲故事做好铺垫。
(1)教师播放Jumble Sale的动画视频,然后围绕视频提问:
What’s the school going to have?
Do the children give old things or new things to the jumble sale?
What did Peppa Pig buy at the jumble sale?
(2)联系生活实际,与学生互动,并自然引入故事情境:
Have you ever been to a jumble sale?
Do you want to go to a jumble sale?
What would you like to buy or sell?
Last week, Kipper’s family went to the jumble sale. What did the children buy? Let’s learn the story.
2. 看图讲故事(Storytelling):理解故事情节,体会孩子们对旧玩具的不舍
教师利用课件逐幅播放故事图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘地讲故事,让学生观察图片中孩子们的表情,体会他们对旧玩具的不舍心情。
(Picture 1)Look at picture 1. What were these? (指着扫把、水桶)
A broom and a bucket.
What were Mum and Dad doing?
They were cleaning the house, because the spring was coming.
(Picture 2)Mum looked in a drawer. What was in her hands?
A small T-shirt. It was old and small.
There were a lot of old things on the floor, too.
Dad threw these things out.
(Picture 3)The children came. They looked at the junk.
“These are our toys,” said the children.
They played with the old toys.
Look! Biff played with her old teddy. Chip played with his old toy too. Kipper looked at his old T-shirt. (指向孩子们手中对应的物品)
They all looked so happy.
(Picture 4)It was time for the jumble sale.
Mum put the old toys in the car.
The children were sad.
(Picture 5)They all went to the jumble sale.
Biff and Chip were helping to carry the boxes.
Look at Biff’s box. Oh no! All the things came out.
