    Last Weekend's Misadventures
    As a student, weekends are the only time I can truly unwind and recharge after a grueling week of classes, assignments, and extracurricular activities.     It all started on Friday evening. I had plans to meet up with a group of friends for a movie night, but my car decided to have other plans. As I was backing out of the driveway, I heard an ominous thunk, followed by a flat tire. Cursing my luck, I had to call a tow truck to get my car to the nearest garage, effectively ruining my plans for the night.
    Saturday dawned bright and early, and I had committed to volunteering at the local animal shelter in the morning. Little did I know that my day was about to take a turn for the worse. As I was walking one of the dogs, a squirrel darted across our path, startling the poor pup. Before I could react, the leash had slipped from my grasp, and the dog took off like a shot, dragging me along for the ride. I ended up with scraped knees, a bruised ego, and a very sheepish-looking canine by the time the ordeal was over.
    After cleaning myself up, I decided to spend the afternoon catching up on some studying. However, my plans were foiled once again when the power inexplicably went out in my apartment complex. With no electricity to power my laptop or lights, I was left to squint at my textbooks in the waning daylight, feeling like a character straight out of a Charles Dickens novel.
    Sunday was my last chance to salvage the weekend, but fate had other plans. I had agreed to help my friend move into a new apartment, but when I arrived, I realized I had misread the address. After spending an hour driving around in circles, I finally located the c
orrect building, only to find that my friend had already enlisted the help of others and had finished the move without me.

    My Adventurous Weekend
    Last weekend was definitely one to remember! It started off on a rather boring note. I woke up late on Saturday morning after staying up way too late the previous night binge-watching a new show on Netflix. After forcing myself out of bed, I lazed around the house for a couple of hours, scrolling mindlessly through social media.
    By early afternoon, I was getting restless and decided I needed to get out and do something. I texted a couple of my best friends, Emily and Chris, to see if they were free to hang out. Luckily, they were both available and up for an adventure. We agreed to meet up at the park near Chris' house.
    When I arrived at the park, Emily and Chris were already there tossing a frisbee back and forth. We spent a little while just walking around the park trails, catching up on our weeks. The beautiful spring weather was absolutely perfect for being outdoors.
    After a little while, Chris had the bright idea that we should go explore the woods on the other side of the park that we had never ventured into before. Emily and I were a bit hesitant at first, but Chris can be very persuasive. Before we knew it, we were trekking into the forest.
    At first, the woods seemed pretty tame and ordinary. But the further we wandered in, the denser and more overgrown everything became. We had to start pushing branches out of our way and stepping over tangled piles of bushes and fallen trees. I could have sworn I saw a few woodland critters scurrying away as we bumbled through their territory.
    Eventually, we came across what looked like the remains of an old cabin or shed deep in the heart of the forest. The roof had completely caved in, and vines were creeping up what was left of the crumbling wooden walls. We excitedly explored the ruins, imagining what sort of stories those walls could tell if they could talk.
    After satisfying our curiosity at the cabin site, we realized we should probably start heading back before it got too late in the day. But there was just one problem - we had no i
dea which direction we had come from or how to get out of the woods! We must have wandered around in circles for at least an hour before finally finding a trail that led us back to the edge of the park.
