    School is really fun, but my favorite part of the day is when classes are over and I get to do my after-school activities! I'm involved in so many cool clubs and sports that I can hardly keep track. On Mondays, I have art club right after school. We get to paint, draw, sculpt with clay, and make all sorts of creative projects. My art teacher, Mrs. Garcia, is really nice and lets us explore our imagination. I love drawing animals and landscapes the most. Sometimes we even get to go outside and do nature sketches which is my favorite! After art club, I head straight to swim team practice. I've been on the swim team since first grade and I'm getting better and better every year. My strongest stroke is freestyle, but I'm working hard on my butt
erfly. Our swim meets are on Saturdays and I always get so excited to race and see my times improving. Swimming is great exercise and keeps me healthy and active.

    Tuesdays are packed with activities too! Right after school, I go to coding club. We're learning how to build websites, create games, and even program little robots. Coding is kind of like cracking a secret code – it can be tricky but so rewarding when you solve the problems. I built a simple calculator program last week that could do basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. My coding teacher was really impressed! After coding, I rush off to soccer practice. Soccer has been my passion since I was tiny. There's nothing better than running around on the field, dribbling the ball, and scoring goals. I play forward and my teammates always look for me to make the shots on goal. I've scored plenty of game-winning goals over the years! Games are on Sundays and it's such an adrenaline rush. My parents never miss a game and cheer me on from the sidelines.

    The rest of my week is just as jam-packed! I have ballet on Wednesdays, which helps me stay graceful and improves my flexibility for soccer. Thursdays are for guitar lessons - I'm learning chords and tabs for some of my favorite pop songs. Fridays I get a break from extracurriculars to recharge for the weekend. But then bright and early Saturday morning, I'm off to volunteer at the local animal shelter. I help take care of the dogs and cats, feed them, play with them, and make sure they're loved until their forever families come to adopt them. It feels awesome to give back to my community in this way. Sundays after my soccer games, I just like to relax, hang out with my friends, and get rested up for another super busy week! Between all my activities, I hardly have a free minute – but I wouldn't have it any other way. My parents always say, "Keep expanding your horizons!" and that's exactly what I'm doing.
