G2 CERAMIC COATING FOR METALS
Bulletin No. 500-MC
•The Water Based Ceramic Coatings for Metals are Non-Toxic and Non-Flammable.
•They are sprayed on in thin coats at room temperature and will air dry in less than forty five (45) minutes.
•After being properly cured these coatings are nearly pore free and are chemically and mechanically bonded to the metal.
•They are non-reactive, non-wetting and thermal shock resistant.
•These coatings decrease the rate of oxidation, carburization, and combustion product buildup. •This prevents deterioration of the metals caused by chemical attack and heat related corrosion. •This allows the metal to retain its metallurgical properties and mechanical strength and results in increased service life.
COATING GRADES
MC-1900GR: A green metal, refractory and rare earth oxide coating with a maximum service temperature of 1900ºF. Used in applications where corrosion, abrasion and
molten metal contract are problems such as super heater sections, incineration
components, molten metal contact components and furnace panels. Applied to
stainless and carbon steels, aluminum, inconel and hastaloy alloys.
reactive metalMC-2000BL: A black metal, refractory and rare earth oxide coating with a high emissivity and a maximum service temperature of 2000ºF. Typically applied to carbon and
stainless steels, copper, brass, and aluminum alloys where increased heat
transfer is important.
MC-2000GR: A green metal, refractory and rare earth oxide coating with maximum service temperature of 2000ºF. Typically applied to carbon and stainless steels, inconel,
aluminum, hastaloy and molybdenum alloys.
MC-2300GR: A green metal, refractory and rare earth oxide coating with maximum service temperature of 2300ºF. Typically applied to stainless steels, inconel, hastaloy and
molybdenum alloys.
