摘要：PURPOSE:To enhance motor cooling performance of an internal pump used for circulating nuclear reactor cooling medium, by constructing a motor case in a multiple-wall structure, and arranging cooling means in multiple layers. CONSTITUTION:A motor 7 and an outer wall 10 of a motor case 2 are communicated to each other via an upper and a lower connecting ports 2a, 2b, so that fluid in an outer layer is circulated via the ports 2a, 2b by way of natural convection when operation of a pump is stopped. Here, since the outer layer serving as a cooling section and the motor 7 are connected directly, resistance to circulation of fluid by natural convection can be minimized and the motor case 2 can be protected against direct heating from a pressure vessel 1 of a nuclear reactor, so that the motor can be cooled at a higher efficiency.
