NATURE
In essence, it's a kind of food for bacterias which will
absorb Nitrate &Phosphate when they grow up and reproduce.
Then,Nitrate &Phosphate are got rid of  tanks together with the bacterias in waste water that made by Protein Skimmer.
So,It needs a effective Protein Skimmer when using
it ,and ,can't run with a OzoneReactor or UV light.
RECOMMENDED
It's better to use Bio‐Pellets in a Bio‐Pellets Reactor that  designed special for it,we suggest to use Reef Octopus Bio‐Pellets Reacter like BR‐70,110 and 140,make sure that there have enough  water flow throw the Reactor,because the because the bacterias need Oxygen when they intake Nitrate
&Phosphate;  If Oxygen was not enough ,there may have H2S produced,which will kill animals .
It will be more effactive to put the outlet of Bio‐Pellets near a Protein Skimmer's inlet.
The perfect amount ,we suggest is 150ml Reef Octopus Bio‐pellet for  100 L water. For it's the food of bacterias, please remember to add some more like 3 or 5 month

Please chexk your tank’s Nitrate & Phosphate, using test kits, because A large number of factors influence a tank’s situation of N&P. And ultimately, it depends on the feeding habits.
生物珠
生物珠用在喂养了大量生物并且喂食比较频繁的水族缸内,他可以帮助水族爱好者控制水族缸内的氮(N)、磷(P)的含量,也叫“生物豆”、“NP珠”等。
本质
从本质上来讲,生物珠是一种细菌的食物,它不含N,P成分,只含有大量的C源等,供细菌繁殖和生长用,在此过程中,吸收水族缸中的N,P成分,最后,经蛋白质分离器打出鱼缸,从而起到了除N,P的作用。
所以,生物珠的使用必须要和高效的蛋白质分离器结合使用才能达到效果。
提示
生物珠的使用最好结合专用的生物珠反应器来提高效率。比如八爪鱼(Reef Octopus)的BR‐70,110,140系列。这是因为,吸收氮磷的细菌再利用水中的氮磷时是主动运输过程,要消耗能量和大量的氧,而使用生物珠反应器能保证有大量的水流通过生物珠,从而保证了细菌对氧的需要;如果供养不足,则会产生毒性极强的硫化氢(H2S),毒死鱼缸内的生物。
为了提高生物珠的除N、P效果,最好将生物珠反应器的出水口放到蛋白质分离器的入水口处。
因为生物珠是一种细菌的食物,所以,当使用过一段时间后他会因为细菌的利用而减少,所以要及时添加。大约每隔3~5个月,添加10~20g。
关于生物珠的使用量,有许多说法,日本的用量较小,之填满生物珠反应器的1/6左右;欧美则使用量极大,往往填满了生物珠反应器的2/3还多。结合我们自己产品在测试和我们的鱼缸使用中的经验来看,150ml/100L水的用量是比较合适的。生物珠使用的关键在于通过水流一定要足够,不要产生H2S。
提示
即使生物珠有除氮磷的作用,也请您在使用过程中经常用测试剂检测水族缸中的氮磷含量。因为一个鱼缸内的氮磷含量等是受多种因素影响的。小心无大错,多多观察,多多检测,才能保证我们的鱼缸
