    If Today Were Friday
    Yay! It's finally Friday! The best day of the week! No more boring classes, no more homework, and no more having to wake up super early. The weekend is here, and that means two whole days of freedom and fun!
    If today were Friday, the first thing I would do is sleep in. On weekdays, my mom has to practically drag me out of bed because I hate waking up early. But on Fridays, I can sleep as late as I want! I would snuggle under my cozy blankets and dream about all the adventures I would have over the weekend.
    After finally rolling out of bed, I would make myself a big, yummy breakfast. Pancakes drizz
led with syrup, crispy bacon, and a tall glass of orange juice – the perfect way to start a fun-filled Friday! While I'm eating, I would probably watch some cartoons or play on my tablet. Maybe I would even convince my parents to let me have a little screen time before they make me go outside and play.
    Once I'm done with breakfast, I would call up my best friend, Joey, and see if he wants to come over and play. Joey and I have been best buddies since kindergarten, and we love hanging out together. We would probably go outside and play some awesome games in my backyard. Maybe we would have a epic Nerf battle, or we could set up an obstacle course and race each other. Or perhaps we would just kick a soccer ball around and pretend we're famous soccer stars.
    After a few hours of running and playing, we would probably get pretty tired and hungry. So we would head inside for a snack and some video games. Joey and I could team up and try to beat the final boss in our favorite game, or we could have an intense competition to see who gets the high score. Either way, it would be a blast!
    Once we've had our fill of gaming, we might watch a movie or show. There are so many great options – maybe a silly comedy that would have us rolling on the floor laughing, or an action-packed adventure that would have us on the edge of our seats. Whichever one we pick, we would definitely need some popcorn and candy to munch on while we watch.
    After the movie, Joey would probably have to go home for dinner. But the fun wouldn't be over yet! After eating with my family, I would beg my parents to let me have one more adventure before bedtime. Maybe we could all go to the park and play on the swings and slides. Or we could have a game night and play some of my favorite board games. Or if I'm really lucky, my parents might even take me out for ice cream!
    As the night winds down, I would get ready for bed, feeling happy and exhausted from an awesome day of fun. I would snuggle under my covers, dreaming about all the amazing things I did and looking forward to another fun-filled day tomorrow. Saturdays are pretty great too, after all!
    Yeah, if today were Friday, it would be the best day ever! A whole day with no school, no
homework, and nothing but fun, fun, fun! I could sleep in late, play with my best friend, gorge on snacks, and just be a total kid. Friday is the greatest day of the week, hands down. Bring it on!

    If Today Was Friday
    Yay, it's Friday! Fridays are the best days ever. I love waking up on Fridays because I know the weekend is right around the corner. That means two full days off from school to sleep in late, play outside, watch tv, and just have fun.
    If today was actually Friday, I would be so excited. I'd wake up early, way before my annoying little sister even thinks about opening her eyes. I'd tiptoe out to the kitchen so I didn't wake up my parents. Then I'd pour myself a big bowl of my favorite chocolate chip cookies cereal and plop down on the couch to watch some cartoons.
    After watching a couple of my shows, I'd head back to my room and get dressed for the
day. I'd put on something really comfy like my favorite pair of stretchy sweatpants and a cozy t-shirt. Comfort is key on Fridays after being stuck in that stuffy school uniform all week.
    Once I'm ready, I'd make sure to pack the essentials for the day in my backpack - some snacks, my football, my yo-yo, a deck of cards, and my skipping rope. You never know what kids will want to do, so I have to be prepared for anything! I'd also shove in a towel and my swimsuit, just in case it's hot enough to go to the pool or run through the sprinklers.
    Around 8am, I'd hear my mom's voice calling out "Breakfast time! Let's go, let's go!" That's my cue to head to the kitchen and dig into a massive stack of pancakes drowning in sweet syrup. Mmm, nothing beats mom's pancakes. My little sister would probably be crying already about wanting the pink plate instead of the blue one. I'd just chuckle and keep shoveling pancakes into my mouth.
    After breakfast, I'd put on my shoes and head outside to wait for my friends to show up. We have this unspoken rule that we all meet at the park near my house bright and early on
Fridays to spend the whole day playing together. James always gets there first because he lives right across the street. Then Tyler and Mason will roll in on their bikes, with Tyler ringing his obnoxiously loud bell the whole way.
