    Dear Mom and Dad,
    I am very sorry that I was not able to get my computer connected to the internet today. I know how important it is for me to be able to do my schoolwork and research online. I really tried my best, but I couldn't figure it out no matter what I did. Let me explain what happened from the beginning.
    This morning when I woke up, I was excited to use my laptop for my homework assignments. I turned it on and waited for it to start up like I always do.     After checking a bunch of different settings, you thought you might have found the issue - somehow the network adapter on my laptop had been disabled!
