    Dear Doctor Li,
Hi there! It's me, Xiaoming, your patient with the cutest smile and the loudest laughter. How are you doing? I hope you're not working too hard and taking good care of yourself. I know how busy you doctors are, always rushing from one patient to another. That's why I think you really need a nice, long vacation!
Where should you go, you ask? Well, let me tell you all about the amazing city of Xi'an! It's the capital of Shaanxi Province in northwest China, and it's one of the oldest cities in Chinese history. My family took a trip there last year during summer break, and I totally fell in love with the place. I'm sure you'll love it too!
First of all, Xi'an is famous for its incredible ancient walls. They're massive, made of rammed earth, and they completely surround the old city center. You can actually walk or bike along the top of the walls and get a bird's eye view of everything inside. It's so cool! The walls are so thick that they have little watchtowers and fortresses built right into them. My brother and I pretended we were brave warriors defending the city. He was no match for my awesome kung fu moves, though!
Speaking of warriors, you have to see the Terracotta Warriors when you visit Xi'an. They're these life-size sculpture soldiers that were buried with the first emperor of China over 2,000 years ago! Can you believe people made those detailed clay figures so long ago? The museum where you can see the warriors is mind-blowing. Row after row of fierce pottery men stand at attention, just waiting to follow their emperor's orders. I got goosebumps imagining them coming alive!
Xi'an is also famous for its delicious food. My favorite was the yummy lamb or beef pulled noodles in savory broth. The long, chewy noodles were so much fun to slurp up! You
'll love the dumplings and fried bread sticks too. Just don't eat too many or your tummy might get upset. I may need to come see you as a doctor again!
There's so much more I could tell you about Xi'an. The drum towers, the bell towers, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda with a funny name, and the lively Muslim Quarter where you can buy fresh breads and snacks. I definitely recommend taking one of those fun bike rickshaw tours to see all the sights. Just hang on tight so you don't go flying out!
Wherever you go in Xi'an, though, you're sure to run into reminders of its incredible history. After all, it was the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road trade route connecting China to the West. Merchants, travelers, monks, and adventurers from all over the world used to pass through its gates. Can you imagine how excited they must have felt arriving in such a vibrant, international city after weeks of hard travel? I got chills just thinking about it.
So what do you say, Doctor Li? Don't you think you deserve to walk in the footsteps of those ancient explorers and take an amazing journey yourself? Xi'an is calling your name!
Please go spend a week or two soaking in all the history, trying all the yummy food, and just relaxing those hard-working doctor muscles of yours. You won't regret it!
And please, please, please send me a postcard from Xi'an! I'll be so jealous of all the fun you're having, but I'll also be really happy you got a nice break. You take such good care of us, so you deserve to be spoiled a little too. I'll hang your postcard up right by my bedside so I can daydream about going back to Xi'an someday.
Have a safe trip, Doctor Li! Don't work too hard, and make sure you sample every single dumpling you can find!
    Your friend,
    Xiaoming

Yes, I can write an essay about sending a postcard to a doctor while vacationing in Xi'an,
from the perspective of an elementary school student. Here is an essay of around 2000 words:
sort of army    My Wonderful Trip to Xi'an and a Postcard for Dr. Lee
Hello! My name is Emily, and I'm 10 years old. I just got back from the most amazing trip to Xi'an with my family, and I can't wait to tell you all about it! But first, let me explain why I'm writing this little story.
A few weeks before our trip, I had a really bad sore throat and fever. My mom took me to see Dr. Lee, our family doctor. He's the nicest doctor ever! He always has a big smile on his face and makes me feel better, even when I'm feeling really yucky.
Dr. Lee gave me some medicine, and after a few days, I was all better. But before I left his office, he told me that he had never been to Xi'an and asked me to send him a postcard if I ever went there. I promised him I would, and I'm a girl of my word!
