    My Big Plans for High School
    Hey there! I'm just a kid in elementary school, but I've been thinking a lot about high school lately. All the older kids make it sound like such a big deal. There's so much to look forward to and so many decisions to make! I've got my whole high school life mapped out already. Well, sort of. I have a general idea at least!
    First up, I'm definitely going to join a ton of clubs and activities. That's what all the cool kids do, right? I'll be in the band, playing my trusty trombone. I've been practicing really hard. I'll also join the Mathletes club because I'm a total math whiz. Maybe I'll even be the team captain someday! The drama club looks super fun too. I love acting out crazy characters and making people laugh. Oh, and the robotics team for sure. Building cool robots sounds aweso
me!
    With so many potential clubs, I'll be crazy busy after school every day. But that's okay, because staying active is really important. High school sports are going to be intense! I'm definitely trying out for the basketball team. I'm pretty tall for my age, so I'll probably be a star center. If that doesn't work out, I could do track and field instead. I'm wicked fast! No matter what, I'll find a way to letter in multiple sports.
    While academics are crucial, I also want to make sure I have a balanced social life in high school. I'll go to all the football games and pep rallies to show my school spirit. Maybe I'll even run for student council president! How cool would it be to be in charge of planning the prom or homecoming dances? Of course, I'll need to go with a really awesome date.
    Actually, dating is something I haven't quite figured out yet. From what I hear, high school romance is really dramatic and complicated. Like, what if I ask out my crush and they reject me in front of everyone? Or what if we date for a while and then they dump me for someone else? That would be so embarrassing and heartbreaking! Then again, having
a boyfriend or girlfriend to go steady with could be really fun too. We could go to the movies, study together at the library, or just hang out after school. Maybe dating won't be as scary as it seems.
    No matter what happens with the dating game, I'll need to have a trusty crew of best friends to stick by my side all through high school. We'll get into silly hijinks but always have each other's backs. I just hope I can avoid all the movie cliches and definitely won't get bullied by any mean kids. As long as I stay true to myself and choose my friends wisely, I should be able to steer clear of the classic high school drama.
    With good friends and a positive attitude, I'm sure I'll have an amazing four years. High school is going to be the best time of my life! By senior year, I'll be so popular and accomplished. I can picture it now - captain of the varsity basketball team, student body president, first chair trombone in band, he whole shebang! I'll be swimming in college acceptance letters too. Maybe I'll even start a successful small business on the side, like an app or a lawn mowing company. The possibilities are endless!
    Then after killing it in high school, I'll be ready to take the world by storm in college. My plan is to pursue a hugely impactful career, possibly as a doctor, scientist, tech entrepreneur or activist. I want to solve the world's biggest problems and make the world a better place. Whether that's by finding the cure for cancer, developing incredible new technologies, or leading a global movement for positive change, I'll give it my all.  Greatness awaits!
    High school will just be the first step in my journey. Those four years will shape me into the person I'm going to become. I'll grow so much, make unforgettable memories, and set myself up for a remarkable future. Yup, I've got my high school life all at least I think I do! We'll see how my plans actually unfold.     My Big Plans for High School and Beyond!
    Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm about to start high school next year. I'm super excited but also a little nervous. High school is a really big step up from elementary school. There will be harder classes, more responsibilities, and lots of new experiences. But I have some big plans to make the most of my four years of high school!
    First off, I really want to focus on my studies and get good grades. My parents are always reminding me that doing well in school now will open up more opportunities for college and careers later on. I struggled a bit with math and science in middle school, so I'm going to work extra hard in those subjects. I'm thinking of joining some academic clubs too, like math team or science olympiad, to get extra practice.
