Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 7th grader from Tianshui, a city in Gansu Province, China. Today I want to tell you all about my absolute favorite food - Tianshui's famous spicy hot pot! Get ready to have your taste buds dancing with delight.
First off, let me give you a little background on hot pot. It's a Chinese cooking method where you have a simmering pot of broth in the middle of the table. You order all kinds of raw ingredients like thinly sliced meat, seafood, vegetables, wontons, mushrooms, noodles and dumplings. Then you cook them right at your table by dipping them into the hot broth until they're cooked to perfection. It's super fun and interactive!
But Tianshui's hot pot isn't just any old hot pot. Our version is famous across China for its incredible spicy and flavor-packed broth.
