    My Saturday Adventures
    Last Saturday was so much fun! I woke up early and had my favorite breakfast - chocolate chip pancakes with syrup and a big glass of orange juice. After breakfast, I got dressed and brushed my teeth. Mom said I could go out and play since the weather was so nice.
    I went outside and the warm sun felt great on my face. Some of my friends were already out playing. Jack was riding his bike up and down the street. "Jack! Jack!" I called out, waving my arms. He saw me and rode over. "Want to go to the park?" he asked. "Sure, let me just tell my mom," I replied.
    I ran inside quickly. "Mom, can I go to the park with Jack?" I asked. She said it was ok as long as we were careful. I gave her a big hug and said "Thanks Mom, you're the best!" Then I rushed back outside.
    Jack and I walked our bikes the few blocks to Miller Park. The park always looks so pretty in the springtime with the trees and flowers blooming. We saw some kids kicking a soccer ball around so we joined their game for a while. After scoring two goals, I was getting thirsty. "I'm going to get a drink from the water fountain," I told Jack.
    As I was taking a big drink of cold water, I noticed a sign for a magic show at 11am near the playground. "Jack! There's a magic show starting soon, let's go watch!" I said excitedly. We found a good spot to sit on the grass and more kids came over too.

    The magician was a funny older man with a black top hat and a colorful cape. "Who wants to see some amazing magic tricks?" he asked in a loud voice. We all cheered loudly. First, he pulled a cute little bunny rabbit out of his hat. Then he took a cube and carved lines in it to make interlocking rings that couldn't be separated. It was so cool!
    For his next trick, the magician asked for a volunteer from the audience. I bravely raised my hand as high as I could. "You, the boy in the red shirt! Come on up here," he said, pointing at me. I jumped up and carefully walked up to the small stage. The magician hand
ed me a magic wand and told me to tap the top of his black box three times. I tapped it firmly - one, two, three. Then he opened the box and a beautiful white dove flew out! The crowd went wild clapping and cheering. I felt like a real magician!
