    You know how grown-ups are always saying stuff like "back in my day, we didn't have all those newfangled gizmos?" Well, I'm just a kid but I already can't imagine life without my tablet, laptop, smartphone and all the other cool digital products we've got nowadays.
    And you know who really can't live without that digital stuff? University students! Those kids are always on their phones, laptops, or who knows what other gadgets. I've seen them walking around campus glued to their screens. I think they might go bonkers if they had to go a day without their precious digital products.
    So what's the big deal? Why are university kids so hooked on that tech stuff? Well, let me break it down for you from what I understand about their crazy life:
    First off, they gotta use computers and the web for basically all their schoolwork these days. They have to type up papers, do online research, watch video lectures, submit assignments on websites, and a whole bunch more. Can you imagine writing a 20-page essay with just a pencil and paper? No thanks! Those poor university kids have to rely on their laptops and tablets to survive their heavy workload.
    Secondly, university is super expensive, right? So a lot of those students have side hustles to try and make some extra cash. Maybe they do freelance work like coding, design, writing or tutoring. Or maybe they buy and sell stuff online. Or maybe they're social media influencers. (I wanna be a influencer when I grow up!) Whatever it is, it's way easier to make money with all the digital tools and platforms these days.

    So with university being such an overwhelming experience between academics, jobs, social life and entertainment - it's no wonder university students are completely reliant on their beloved digital products. Their smartphones, laptops and tablets are like essential survival tools at this point. They use them for literally every facet of university life.
    That's not to say university kids don't take study breaks from the digital world now and then. I've seen them hanging out on the quad reading old-fashioned paper books from time to time. Or maybe playing frisbee or whatever. But you can bet those digital devices are never far away for when they inevitably need to dash off a quick essay, make a call, stream
some tunes or post a selfie. It's just the way university life is these days!
    Some teachers and parents worry that university students are too addicted and dependant on digital products though. They think all that screen time is harmful, causes distractions, gives them bad posture from slouching over devices, and stops them from living in the "real world."
