My School: Then and Now
Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you about how schools have changed over the past 20 years. I will talk about the differences between schools back then and the schools we have now. Let's get started!
Twenty years ago, when my parents were in elementary school, things were really different. First of all, the classrooms were not as colorful and interactive as they are today. Back then, the walls were plain and white, with only a few posters here and there. But now, our classrooms are so lively! They are filled with colorful charts, educational posters, and even interactive whiteboards. It makes learning so much more fun!
Another big change is the technology. Twenty years ago, students didn't have computers or tablets in their classrooms. They had to use traditional blackboards and chalk. Can you imagine that? But now, we have computers, laptops, and tablets in our classrooms. We can use them to research information, play educational games, and even create presentations. It's amazing how much technology has improved our learning experience!
In the past, textbooks were the main source of information. Students had to carry heavy bags filled with books every day. It was tiring! But nowadays, we have e-books and online resources. We can access information with just a few clicks. It's so convenient and saves us a lot of space in our backpacks.
Physical education classes have also changed a lot. In the past, students had basic sports activities like running, jumping, and playing ball games. But now, we have a wide variety of activities to choose from. We can learn martial arts, yoga, dance, and even rock climbing! It's great because we can discover our interests and stay active at the same time.
Moreover, the way teachers teach has also changed. In the past, teachers mainly used ltablets和laptops
ectures and textbooks to teach. But now, they use interactive methods. They encourage class discussions, group projects, and hands-on activities. This way, we can learn by doing and have a better understanding of the subjects.
Lastly, school facilities have improved a lot. Twenty years ago, there were no playgrounds or modern sports facilities in many schools. But now, we have playgrounds with slides, swings, and even basketball courts. We also have well-equipped science labs, music rooms, and art studios. These facilities provide us with more opportunities to explore our talents and interests.
In conclusion, schools have changed a lot over the past 20 years. Our classrooms are more colorful and interactive, technology has become an essential part of learning, textbooks have been replaced with e-books and online resources, physical education classes offer a wider variety of activities, teaching methods have become more interactive, and school facilities have improved greatly. I feel lucky to be studying in this modern era where learning is so much more exciting and enjoyable. What a fantastic time to be a student!
I hope you enjoyed learning about the differences between schools then and now. Thank you for reading my essay!

Schools Now and Then
School sure is different now than it was 20 years ago when my parents were kids! The biggest change is probably all the new technology we use every day. Back then, there were no computers, tablets or smart boards in classrooms. My dad said they just had chalkboards that teachers wrote on with chalk. Can you imagine? How messy!
Nowadays, every student has an iPad or Chromebook to use for lessons and doing assignments. We don't have to carry around heavy textbooks anymore since all the books are digital. The smart boards in every classroom are so cool too. Teachers can pull up videos, websites and learning games right on the big screen. We even have a 3D printer to make models and projects for certain lessons. My parents never had anything like that!
Another huge difference is that we don't really use pencils, pens or paper much in class anymore. We do almost all our work digitally now. Teachers assign work through online portals and we submit everything electronically. I can't remember the last time I had to write something out by hand. My grandmother says her hands used to get so sore from writing for hours with a pencil. Writing with a keyboard is definitely easier!
The stuff we learn about has changed too. We spend a lot of time learning coding, robotics and computer skills. My dad says he didn't have any classes like that. Instead, he had to take shop class where they worked with tools and built birdhouses and stuff. We also learn a ton about technology, engineering and science through special hands-on programs. It's really fun getting to do experiments and build robots and computers. My parents just had basic science from textbooks.
