Spring on campus
Day is breaking, yet the mist creeps forward, conquers everything. When the first brilliant spring sunshine breaks through the mist, brings the brightness and warmth, let’s say farewell to grey, bleak, dreary winter.
Winter fades away. Nature resumes its vigor. Our campus is bathed in spring sunshine. On my way to library, the breeze coming from the east, brings the subtle perfume of Yulan, strokes my cheek. The clear sluggish river and the stainless blue sky cheer my withered heart. The golden sunshine pours upon me, spreads in my soul. Stories of spring spill out all over the place. I shed tears because of happiness and bitterness.
The birds are singing over the woods. The winter jasmine is in bud; the willows have burgeoned forth. The air is mild; the dew is sparkling. Waking from dreary winter, everything seems serene but hopeful. Nevertheless, no matter how beautiful the scenery is, without lives, without stories, the beauty is faulty (imperfect). Suddenly, some students appear in the picturesque scenery. Their bouncing shadows make it perfect.
Some beautiful girls read the book under the soft sunshine. The faint smile of joyousness narrowed their eyes. Some vigorous boys sit or lie on the lawn, enjoying the mild spring weather and the colorful life.
Early spring is lively but fragile. When the sunshine gives way to chill, rain falls serenely. Then happiness gives way to sadness, tears shed silently. Pure Brightness Festival is coming. The drizzle is like a veil over the world. It’s the time to commemorate our beloved late family members. We are missing them, while they are blessing us. However, sorrow in spring is transient. We are joyous after all.
Compared with harsh winter, spring is less pale, more vigorous. Compared with hot summer, spring is less enthusiastic, much quieter. Compared with dreary autumn, spring is less lonely, more hopeful. People are delighted because of enchanting scenery; the scenery is enchanting because of the delighted people. Spring adorns our life; we adorn the spring.
Time comes and goes. Do you remember the flower of your life blossom fully in summer? Do you remember the leaves of your life crumple up and turn to powder in autumn? Do you remember they are blown away on gust of wind in winter?
In winter, all lives suffer from the hazard wind and dreadful chill. All courage, ambition and eagerness have died. Spring conceives the hope and passion. Those once ruined but reborn eagerness can all at once spread out freely, which is like the Nirvana of Phoenix.
It’s felicity to live in different seasons, feel the lapse of time. As the seasons alternate, our emotion, attitude and life keep changing. Moon wanes and waxes. People part and meet again. Tide rises and falls. Life pauses and starts again.
In spring, a brand new phase is going to begin in everyone’s life. Seize the day. Make your life extraordinary.
