Unit 7 Spring Festival
【单元教材分析】功能：谈论及描述春节的文化习俗。
教学重难点：能听懂、会说并认读句子“What do you usually do at Spring Festival”“We visit relatives and friends…‘Did you vis it your relatives? Yes, we did．What will y ou do at Spring Festival?…‘We’ll say “Happy Spring Festival” to each other”能与他人谈论春节这一话题。
教学难点：用英语交流过去是怎样过春节的以及今年过春节的打算。
【单元教学目标】
1．能听懂、会说、认读、正确书写单词：before，wonderful，them；能听懂、会说、认读单词和词组：Spring Festival，February，January，relative，set off，firework，came，fun，country．midnight，lunar，each other，lucky money，并能结合句型灵活运用。
2．能听懂、会说、认读句型：“What do you usually do at Spring Festival? We visit relatives and friends．Did you visit your relatives? Yes，we did．”“What will you do at Spring Festival? We say ‘Happy Spring Festival’to each other”
3能运用所学语言谈沦有关春节的话题。
4．初步了解字母组合ng，wh，ar在单词中的发音规律。
5培养学生热爱民族传统，弘扬民族精神的意识。
【教学程序建议】
Lesson 1 We visit relatives and friends．
(第一课时)
一、热身(Warm-up)
教师出示Listen and say部分的挂图或通过课件展示与春节有关的内容，如吃饺子、放鞭炮、穿新衣、拜年等等。学生可以直接说出英语，不会说的可以只欣赏。
二．呈现(Presentation)
1教师提问：“What are the pictures about?”从而引H{春节这一活题，教师出示单词卡片Spring Festival，可以告诉学生Spring Festival即Chinese New Year。
2教师提问：“When is Sp ri ng Festival?”出示单词卡片January和February并进行教授。
3．教师提问：“What do you usually do at Sp ri ng Festival?”学生带着问题听Listen and say部分的录音或观看教学光盘，尝试出答案。
4教师引导学生将从书中出来的春节所做的事情按照Before Spring Festival和On the first day of Spring Festival进行分类。教师出示单词和词组卡片relative，set off，firework并进行教授。
5．教师再次播放录音或教学光盘，学生模仿跟读，注意语音语调。
三、练习(Practice)
1.组织学生小组活动，分角表演对话，并戴头饰上台表演。
2．请学生看教材Let’s talk部分的内容，播放录音或教学光盘，学生模仿跟读后上台展示，最后全班分组操练此部分内容。
四、运用(Production)
1.完成Let’s do部分。
(1)学生通过问答调查组内同学通常在春节期间做什么事情，完成表格。
(2)小组内围绕已完成的表格进行汇报、交流。
2.完成配套练习。

(第二课时)
一．热身(warm-up)
1．教师出示关于春节的词组，如：visit relatives，wear new clothes，eat jiaozi，buy flowers get together．clean the home，set off fireworks等，学生快速说出词组，帮助学生快速回忆上节课学过的内容。
2．教师与学生交流有关春节的内容，如：What do you usually do at Spring Festival?为新授课做好准备。
二、呈现(Presentation)
1出示Listen and say部分的挂图，教师介绍本节课的主题：Danny，Li Ming，Jenny一起讨论春节。Jenny向Li Ming提出一个有关他去年过春节的问题，引导学生快速浏览课文出句子：“Did you go to your grandparents?"并出Li Ming 的回答：“No，we didn’t. My grandparents came to my home”教师板书：“Did you go to your grandparents?”
2教师问同学还想知道哪些有关Li Ming去年过春节的事情，小组进行训论，提出问题，如：“Did he have a big dinner?…‘Did he set off fireworks?”“Did he eat jiaozi?”等。
3教师引导学生阅读课文，看看哪些问题町以从书本中到答案。
4．教师引导学生出关于Li Ming过春节的其他信息，如Li Ming说：“We ate out。”
5．教师再次播放录音或教学光盘，学牛模仿跟读，注意语音语调。
三．练习(Practice)
1教师组织学生小组活动，分角表演对话，并戴头饰上台表演。
2请学生看教材Let’s talk部分的内容，播放录音或教学光盘，学生模仿跟读后后上台展示，最后全班分组操练此部分内容。
四、运用(Production)
1.完成Let’s do部分。
这个活动的目的是通过学生之间的问答，到与自己过春节时做了相同事情
的同学，活动步骤如下：
(1)学生提前准备好自己在春节时拍的照片。
(2)小组内通过询问出与自己过春节时做了相同事情的同学。如询问的经历不同，则再继续问其他的同学。
2．完成配套练习。

五、句子书写(Let’s write)
此活动中给出的watched TV，visited relatives，made jiaozi，had a big dinner 都是一般过去时的动词短语，要求学生根据图片和句子的需要，将所需短语填入相应的位置，不需要再做词形转换，目的是减轻学生负担，降低学习难度。教师注意提示学生书写要正确、规范。
六．课外活动(After-school Activities)
1．听课文录音，模仿跟读。
2与朋友交流今年春节将要做什么事情。

一、热身(Warm-up)
1教师用单词片或课件呈现本单元的单词和词组，如：before，wonderful，them，why，Spring Festival，February，January，relative，set off firework，came，fun，country，midnight，lunar．each other，lucky money，学生抢读。
2．教师针对本单元内容进行提问，如：“W hat does Li Ming usually do at Spring Did Li Ming visit relatives? "What will you do this Spring Festival?”学生快速回
忆课文内容并同答问题。
