Module 3 Unit 1 Today is Halloween.
一、教学目标与要求
1. 知识与能力目标
能够听说读写以下单词:night,autumn,houses,people
能够听说认读以下单词:festival,scare
能够听说读写重点句型: It’s an autumn festival. It’s really fun.
They go to people’s houses. They scare the people.
能够出课文中带They的句子,理解并指读。在图文或场景下能进行简单的英语交流和表演。能在情景中灵活运用本节课所学内容表达自己的思想。
2. 情感态度目标
了解有关万圣节的知识,在巩固语言知识的同时比较中西方文化,感受中西文化差异,体会文化的碰撞,进而体会跨文化背景下学习语言的乐趣,培养学生积极的学习热情。
3. 教学重点及难点
本课的教学重点是重点单词、句子的听、说、读、写。
本课的教学难点是能够听懂课文,并了解有关万圣节的知识,创设相应的情境指导学生理解、实践、感悟语言功能。
二、课前准备
1. 教师自己制作的课件和教材的配套光盘。
2. 教材配套的单词卡片。

三、教学过程
Step 1:Warm up
a) 幻灯出示富有节日特的clothes, masks, hats,并伴有节日背景音乐,进行free talk, 让学生猜What’s that? / What’s the festival? 引出课题:Today is Halloween.朗读课题,学习新词Halloween.提醒注意ee的发音。
b) 放一段关于Halloween 的录像,进一步了解节日的知识,提问:
A.Is it really fun?
B.Is it a (an) spring/autumn festival?
c) 引出课文,听看光牒,出示问题What do they do at Halloween?让学生到课文中把答案划出来。
Step 2:Presentation and practice
a) 听读课文,整体感知第一段,回答:What’s the festival? 引出答语并结合图片巩固操练:It’s an autumn festival. It’s really fun.(提示学生有理解、有感情的表达句意)
b) 继续听读课文,整体感知第二段, 先用提示句:Do children wear scary clothes/hats/masks? Do they go to people’s house?帮助学生打开思维。然后回答:What do children do at Halloween?整理课文相关活动的内容,培养学生良好的阅读习惯。进而操练句型:Children wear scary clothes. They go to people’s house. They scary the people. They say,”whoooooo!”(搞清楚they是代词,代替children) 然后谈论What do people do at Halloween?
c)情景辅助,表演第三部分课文
d)回顾全文,利用课前准备的小道具,进行小组表演。
Step 3: Consolidation and extension
a) 课件出示圣诞节图片,提问:A. What’s that? (What’s the festival?)
B. What do they do at Christmas?
b) 课件出示节日图片4至6幅,如:六一节,新年,春节、母亲节…… 学生小组活动,每组
选择喜欢的节日图片进行谈论并表演。逐步巩固本课内容,有效利用已学过的知识,通过经常性复现实现语言的交际功能,同时体现操练的递进性,培养学生发散思维品质。
