    The Wonderful Seasons
    There are four seasons in a year - spring, summer, fall, and winter. Each season is special and brings its own delights. I love the changing seasons and all the fun activities and beautiful sights that come with them.
    Spring is one of my favorite seasons. After the long, cold winter, spring brings new life and color back to the world. The trees start growing their pretty green leaves again. Flowers poke up from the ground and bloom in wonderful bright colors like yellow, purple, pink and red. Spring showers make everything fresh and green. The air smells so nice and earthy. Birds return from their winter travels and sing cheerful melodies. Baby animals like bunnies, lambs, and ducklings are born. It's fun to watch them hop, leap, and waddle around. In spring, I love
playing outdoors without bundling up in heavy coats, hats, and mittens. My friends and I can ride our bikes, fly kites, have picnics, and play on the playground equipment at the park. Springtime is full of joy and new beginnings.
    Then summer arrives and the warm weather really sets in. The summer sun feels glorious on my face. I love the long summer days that seem to stretch on forever with the late sunsets. Summer means no school and lots of free time for fun! I get to go swimming at the pool or beach. I build sandcastles and splash in the waves. Summer is perfect for camping, catching fireflies at night, and toasting marshmallows around the campfire. Many fruits are in season like refreshing watermelon, sweet cherries, and juicy peaches. Summertime also means family picnics, barbecues, and staying up late to watch the fireworks on the Fourth of July. The summer months are adventurous and relaxing all at once.
    In the fall, the leaves turn brilliant shades of red, yellow, and orange. It's fun to jump and play in the huge piles of crunchy leaves. The weather turns crisp and cool. We get to wear
our favorite sweaters and jackets again. Pumpkins are everywhere, waiting to be carved into funny or spooky jack-o-lanterns. One of the best parts of fall is Halloween! I love dressing up in a costume and going trick-or-treating with my friends for candy. We bob for apples and go on hayrides through the countryside. Fall also means delicious harvest foods like warm apple cider, hearty stews, and pies made from fresh apples, pumpkins, and pecans. Fall is a season full of festive fun!
    Finally, winter arrives with its pretty snowy landscapes. The first snowfall is always so exciting! I love catching the fluffy white flakes on my tongue. Building snowmen, making snow angels, and having snowball fights are the best. If we're really lucky, we'll get enough snow for sledding. Hot chocolate tastes extra delicious after being out playing in the snow all day. The trees are outlined with icicles that glisten like crystals. Neighborhoods are decorated with twinkling lights for the holidays. Christmas is a magical time full of giving, celebrating with loved ones, and eating tasty seasonal treats like gingerbread cookies and candy canes. Even though winter can be freezing cold, it's a wonderland of sparkling beauty.
    Each season has its own special charm. I love them all for different reasons! The changing seasons fill the year with variety and make everything fresh and new again. I feel so lucky to experience spring's new life, summer's warmth, fall's harvest times, and winter's snowy magic. The seasons turn in an endless cycle and that's what makes every year an adventure. I can't wait to see what the next season will bring!

    The Four Seasons
    Hi there! My name is Tommy and I'm going to tell you all about the four seasons we have here where I live. The seasons are super cool and each one is really different from the others.
    Let's start with winter. Winter is when it gets really cold outside - so cold that you have to bundle up in a huge coat, hat, scarf, and mittens just to stay warm! The best part about winter is the snow. When it snows, everything gets covered in a beautiful white blanket. My
friends and I love going out to build snowmen, have snowball fights, and go sledding down the big hills. Sometimes the snow gets so deep that school even gets canceled for a snow day! Those are the best days because we can stay inside drinking hot chocolate and watching movies all day long.
    After winter comes spring. Spring is when everything starts to warm up and get green again after the long cold winter. The trees start growing their leaves back, flowers bloom everywhere, and baby animals like bunnies and chicks are born. Spring is also when we get lots of rain showers. I like watching the raindrops pitter-patter on the windows and make little rivers in the streets. One of my favorite spring activities is going on hikes with my family to look for wildflowers. When it's really nice out, we pack up a picnic lunch to eat outside in the park. Spring is amazing but it always goes by too fast!
    Next up is summer, which is probably my favorite season. Summer is when school lets out for summer vacation and the weather gets so beautifully warm and sunny. I love going swimming at the pool or the beach and having waterballoon fights with my friends. We also
go camping a lot in the summer and I get to run around in the woods, go fishing, and make s'mores over the campfire. The 4th of July is in summer too, which means fireworks, barbecues, and parades! The only bad thing about summer is that it's sometimes too hot, but that's what popsicles and ice cream are for. I wish summer could last forever!
    Unfortunately, summer has to end eventually and autumn (or fall) comes around. Autumn is when the leaves on the trees start changing into brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow before falling off. It gets cooler out but not too cold yet. My favorite autumn activity is jumping into the big piles of fallen leaves in our yard. We also go to pumpkin patches, carve jack-o-lanterns, go trick-or-treating on Halloween, and drink hot apple cider. Autumn always reminds me that winter will be coming soon again.
