PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the look of a string stopper by forming a
pattern, etc., which does not change with time on the side of the outer surface of the string stopper without hindering a user in using the string stopper and to improve the
soft feel of the string stopper when it is operated.
SOLUTION: This string stopper has a cylindrical female member 10, a male member 20 movably inserted into the female member 10, and an energizing member 30 to energize the male member 20. The male member 20 and the female member 10 have through holes 13 and 23, respectively, into which a string W can be inserted where the male member 20 is inserted into the female member 10. The string W inserted into the through holes 13 and 23 is clasped between the rim of the through hole 23 of the male member 20 and the rim of the through hole 13 of the female member 10 by the force of an energizing means 30, so the stopper is fixed to the string W. The female member 10 of the string stopper has an inserting part F and a surface molding part S formed on the outer surface Fa of the inserting part F when the inserting part F is inserted.
