摘要：PURPOSE:To provide a FRP leaf spring, in which the reinforcing fiber of the internal layer portion amounting to 20-80% of its thickness is laminated in the longitudinal direction of the leaf spring. CONSTITUTION:The internal layer portion amounts to 20-80% of its thickness, in which shearing stress between layers is generated. The rate of utilization of the strength of a reinforcing fiber can be improved by making the direction of the reinforcing fiber 0 deg.. The spring constant K of a leaf spring is indicated by K 1/EI, if a span is constant, so that the VF of the internal layer portion is lowered to 5-40% by taking advantage of small contribution of E value of the internal layer portion of thickness to K value, which can prevent generation of separation of layers in the interface due to a difference in coefficient to thermal expansion between the reinforcing fiber and a matrix resin. Since E value of the surface layer of the leaf spring greatly contributes to the spring constant, a carbon fiber is mainly disposed as a reinforcing fiber of the surface layer forming the leaf spring to improve leaf spring characteristics.
