1.—What did you do last weekend? 你上周末做什么了?
—I visited my grandparents. 我看望我的祖父母了。
这是询问对方上周末做什么了的问句及答语。
句型结构:
问句: What did you do last weekend?
答语: I/We+动词过去式+其他.
重点解析: 问句中的did是助动词，do是实义动词，意为“做”。答语是一般过去时的陈述句。句中的动词要用过去式。
例：—What did you do last weekend?  你上周末做什么了?
—I played the piano.  我弹钢琴了。
2. What about you? 你呢?
“ What about you?”意为“你呢?”，用来询问对方的情况。
“?”是一个常用的句型，about后面可以跟名词、代词或动词-ing形式。现在总结一下该句型的用法：
（1）询问天气或身体等状况。

3.一般过去时
（1）一般过去时表示在过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，也可表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。它常和表示过去的时间状语连用，如 yesterday，last week， last night，in 2013，two days ago等。
（2）一般过去时的基本结构
①肯定句: 主语+动词过去式+其他./主语+was/were+其他.
I played tennis last weekend.
我上周末打网球了。
I was very tiredyesterday.
昨天我很累。
②否定句: 主语+didn't+动词原形+其他/主语+ wasn't/weren't+其他.
The girl didn't play computer games yesterday afternoon.
这个女孩儿昨天下午没玩电子游戏。
You weren't hereyesterday.  你昨天不在这儿。
③一般疑问句: Did+主语+动词原形+其他?/Was/Were+主语+其他?肯定回答:Yes,主语+did./Yes,主语+ was/were.；否定回答:No,主语didn't./主语+wasn't/ weren't.
—Did you go to the beach?  你们去海滩了吗?
—Yes, we did./No, we didn't.  是的，我们去了。/不，我们没有去。
—Was your weekend OK? 你的周末（过得）好吗?
—Yes, it was./No, it wasn't.  是的，很好。/不，不好。
④特殊疑问句: 疑问词+一般疑问句（+其他）?
—What did Li Lei do last weekend?  李雷上周末做什么了?
—He visited his teacher.  他拜访他的老师了。
4. 动词过去式的构成
除部分动词过去式的不规则变化需要特殊记忆外，大多数动词过去式的构成都是有规律的：
（1）一般在动词词尾直接加“-ed"。
Watch— watched plant— planted    help— helped  cook— cooked
（2）以不发音的字母e结尾的动词，直接在词尾加“-d”。
dance—danced like—liked  live—lived
（3）以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词，变y为i，再加“-ed”。
study—studied    carry—carried      hurry—hurried
（4）以单个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节动词，先双写动词末尾的辅音字母，再加“-ed”。
stop—stopped              plan—planned          skip—skipped
