教学目的和要求
1.Let students know the definition of translation and understand the criteria of judging good translation.
2.Make students know how to choose good referent books that facilitate their translation and show them how to use those referent books.
内容提要与时间安排,教学方法(讲授、提问、讨论、实验等)
1.Make a review of the definitions of translation in the history and then offer the definition made by the author of the text book. Tell students the criteria of judging a good translation formulated by different translators and scholars in this field. Time: 80 minutes.
2.Give students some advice about how to choose referent books in their translation and have a discussion with them about how to use these referent books, mainly kinds of dictionaries. Time span: 40 minutes.
