一、教材分析
这是Go for it!九年级第二单元Section A的听说课,这一单元的话题是Festivals。学生要学会一些宾语从句和感叹句并正确运用,而且还要学会如何谈论一些节日。这一课时是一堂听说课,以中国传统节日——端午节为话题,探讨人们庆祝节日的传统活动,粗略了解主要节日,如元宵节、泼水节和春节机器典型庆祝方式,激发学生对传统文化的兴趣。
二、教学目标
1、语言知识目标:
(1)正确使用宾语从句连接词that, whether,和if.
(2)学生能理解宾语从句的“时态、语序、连接词”三要素。
(3)能够掌握what和how引导的感叹句。.
2、能力目标:
学生能通过词性来掌握新句型,从而更好地运用感叹句表达较为强烈的感情。
3、学习策略目标:
学生能通过观看视频、欣赏歌曲等方式介绍中外节日传统。
4、情感态度目标:
(1)学生能学会运用感叹句表达较为强烈的感情;
(2)学生能通过中西方节日的学习,了解并描述中国传统节日。
三、教学重难点
掌握并运用that/whether/if引导的宾语从句和what/how引导的感叹句。
四、教学步骤
Step 1: Lead-in
T: Look! I got a present from my son.(show a cup) What do you think of it? He bought it with his lucky money. Did you get any lucky money during the Chinese Spring Festival?
(设计说明:此步骤是为了快速地将学生的精力吸引到课堂上来,并自然地引出本节课的内容。)
Step 2: Discussion
Get Ss to finish 1a and briefly talk about the festival mentioned in pictures like this:
S1: What do you like best about the Dragon Boat Festival in Hong Kong?
S2: I like the races/zongzi. I think….
(设计说明:鼓励学生根据图片内容充分描述,粗略了解常见节日。)

Ask Ss to listen to 1b and finish “T” or “F”.
Let Ss listen to 2a, circle the correct words.
Play again and have Ss fill in the chart(2b).

Step 4:Role-playing
Ask students to make their own conversations using the information in 2a and 2b.
(设计说明:以寒假生活委话题,为学生提供丰富的谈资,并能巩固一般过去时态、现在完成时态和that引导的宾语从句的用法。)
Step 5: Discussion
Ask students to discuss the following questions:
What did you do on your vacation?
Step6: Group work
Ask students to share their stories with each other.
